Europa League Semi-Finals Preview

Preview – Arsenal vs Atletico Madrid

The Europa League Semi-Finals kicks off this Friday at Emirates Stadium as Arsenal hosts Atletico Madrid. The match will start at 5:05am on 27th April.

The home side has been slightly favoured in the betting with William Hill giving them $2.40 odds for the clash. They’ve dominated the early stages of the Europa League with 8 wins from 12 matches and 4 wins at home in 6 matches. Meanwhile for the away side, they’ve lost just once in 6 matches and will be confident of an upset this Friday morning.

Arsenal is coming off an easy 4-1 win over West Ham in the EPL. So they’ll be looking to start quickly at home once again this Friday. The Gunners’ will have extra motivation to win the Europa League for outgoing manager Arsene Wenger. After 22 years of service, he’ll be stepping down at season’s end.

Preview – Marseille vs RB Salzburg

In the second Semi-Final, Marseille will take on RB Salzburg at the Orange Velodrome in France. It will be played at the same time and date as the first Semi-Final.

Marseille is undefeated at home in the Europa League and should be confident of keeping that record intact on Friday. They previously beat RB Leipzig 5-2 at home in the Quarter-Finals as well. In addition, they’re coming off a 5-1 win at home against LOSC. Thauvin and Mitroglou both scored braces in the victory.

For the away side, they’ve struggled away from home so far in the Europa League. As a result, they’ve been given $4.50 underdog odds at William Hill. They’re last away match in this league was a 4-2 loss. So it’s not looking promising against Marseille in France.
