Enable Bidding to Complete Domination in Yorkshire Oaks

Enable BiddingEnable is in contention for finishing 2017 as the Horse of the Year as she has already won two Classics so far this season, while she was able to step up against the older horses and the opposite sex on her latest success in the Group One King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot on soft ground.

John Gosden’s star filly is making a return to action in the Yorkshire Oaks at the Ebor Festival at York on August 25 where she is the odds-on favourite in the horse racing Australia betting for the feature race on day three of the meeting.

Enable may have to take on Rhododendron on the Knavesmire in a repeat of their clash at Epsom in the Oaks. The British filly was too quick for the Ballydoyle runner on that occasion as there were five lengths between the pair of them when Enable crossed the line in the British Classic.

Queen’s Trust is set to lead the charge from the older horses in the Yorkshire Oaks. The former Breeders’ Cup winner has not been in great form so far in 2017, but she often produces her best runs at the back end of the season.

If successful at York, Enable could then be set to meet Winter, who has been the other star filly of 2017 so far. The pair may face each other in the British Champions Stakes at Ascot in October. The Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe is another race in which the Oaks winner has been talked about as being a target at the back end of the year.

The Yorkshire Oaks is just one of a number of leading Group races to look forward to at York. The Juddmonte International is the highlight on the opening day of the week, while on day three the sprinters takes centre stage in the Nunthorpe Stakes where Lady Aurelia is set to feature for American trainer Wesley Ward. Full betting is available on the feature races at the British track.
