Champions League Semi-Finals Preview
Preview – Liverpool vs Roma
Liverpool and Roma kick off the Champions League Semi-Finals with the 1st leg at Anfield this Wednesday (4:45am AEST).
For the home side, they’re coming off a very impressive 5-1 aggregate victory over EPL winners Manchester City. The pleasing sign for Liverpool fans was overcoming a 1-0 deficit in the 2nd minute of the 2nd leg. They also held just 31% of possession but finished the stronger side with 2 late goals. They’ll start as the warm favourite with William Hill at $1.57 against Roma.
Meanwhile, Roma knocked off Barcelona after a 3-0 win in the 2nd leg at Olimpico. It was a massive upset for the Italian side and they’ll look to continue their form onto Anfield. An interesting side story to this matchup is the fact Salah moved from Roma to Liverpool in the offseason. The move was probably better than expected for Liverpool as he currently leads the EPL with 30 goals.

The player to watch in this matchup for Bayern Munich will include Robert Lewandowski as he’s found the net on 5 occasions in this Champions League campaign. While for Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo is the man to watch, especially after his incredible overhead goal against Juventus.
