UEFA Euro 2024 Group F takes centre stage on Tuesday, 18 June with two intriguing matches between Turkey and Georgia and Portugal vs. Czech Republic. Will Georgia stun Turkey in their first ever Euros? Will Ronaldo start for Portugal?

Georgia are the only nation making their Euros debut at Euro 2024. A lot of soccer betting experts think they’ll bed in and try to play defensively in their first tournament. That was not their identity during qualifying though, so we disagree.  

The Georgians scored as many goals in Euro Qualifying as Turkey. Spain, Scotland, and Norway failed to shut them out. In the playoff, they put two past Luxembourg and outshot Greece, despite being down a man for the entire second half.  

Turkey will probably win this match, but we back Georgia to get at least one goal here. OVER 2.5 goals between these two teams should be very doable.

There are a lot of questions surrounding Portugal heading into Euro 2024. Most of them are about how Roberto Martinez will use Ronaldo. The legendary striker probably won’t start against the Czech Republic, but his team should not have a problem winning without him.  

Portugal are one of the favourites to win this tournament. With all due respect to the Czech Republic, it will be a good tournament if they get out of the group.  

The Czechs have not beaten a team in the top 20 of FIFA’s world rankings since 2022. Strong nations outside the top 20–like Turkey and Albania–have also beaten the Czech Republic.  
Portugal should start their Euro 2024 campaign strong and get an easy win here.

As high as we are on Portugal, we know they are not perfect. Roberto Martinez has not settled on a default tactic. Some say this is a sign of Portugal being a versatile side. When you watch the matches though, you know this isn’t true.  

Portugal have not looked 100% convincing in any tactic they’ve Martinez has rolled out so far. Losses to Croatia and Slovenia in the last three months are proof of this.  

While we think the Portuguese will win this match, we’re also willing to bet that the Czech Republic, with Bayer Leverkusen’s Patrik Schick leading the line, will score at least one goal.
