England somehow survived against Switzerland to advance from the quarter-final stage. Netherlands also needed to overcome a deficit in their quarter-final matchup against Turkey. Now, these two footballing giants are set to face off in the  semi-final.

It is no surprise that from our first two predictions that we think England will advance to the final. Southgate may not be the most innovative manager, but he gets results. Koeman, meanwhile, has struggled to get the most out of his Dutch side.  

The main difference between England and the Netherlands manager is the quality of players though. Koeman continues to roll out Memphis Depay up front and has not settled on an ideal midfield.  

England have better players and a proven track record in major tournaments. The Three Lions will advance.
