The last four of Wimbledon sees a grand slam pairing of former winners Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer while defending champion Novak Djokovic takes on the dangerous Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut for a place in Sunday’s final.

Roberto Bautista Agut vs Novak Djokovic

All three of the Wimbledon favourites have made it to the last four of the tournament, which is something we all expected. That means it is left to journeyman Roberto Bautista Agut to cause the shock of the men’s draw and dump out defending champion Novak Djokovic. It is possible as well as Agut has the better of Djokovic in 2019. Watch this space.

You may think we need our head examining as Djokovic is the clear favourite with a host of online betting sites. However, consider this: 31-year-old Spaniard Agut has beaten Djokovic twice in 2019 and although both victories were on a hard surface in Doha and Miami, confidence and belief will be sky high for an upset.

Not only that but two of the last three meetings between these two have seen at least one tie break in the contest but as this is odds against, the value on offer is too much to ignore. Both players have also faced tie breakers in this tournament meaning at least one in the semi-final is a likely occurrence.

Rafael Nadal vs Roger Federer

It’s hard to believe this will be the first meeting at Wimbledon between these two since the 2008 final in which Nadal was victorious. However, the last two times the pair have met in the tournament five sets were played out. In fact, in their three matches on total, never has there been a straight sets winner making this bet well worth backing with popular sportsbooks for overall value.

It promises to be a classic but Rafa Nadal just looks the stronger of the two having shaken off numerous injury issues to return to the top of his game. The Spaniard also beat Federer the last time they met at Wimbledon in that classic 2008 final and comes into the tournament after French Open glory.

Predicted final: Agut vs Nadal

2010 was the last time Rafa Nadal won the top prize at Wimbledon and finally, after years of injury woe, the 33-year-old is back to his utmost best. A straight sets victory over Federer at the French Open was impressive (although not unexpected on his favoured clay court) and has set a precedence for Wimbledon. Djokovic may be the outright favourite but we think he may struggle against another Spaniard in Agut having the season of his life, so back Nadal to make it a hattrick of Wimbledon titles come Sunday.
