England Few would have expected Eoin Morgan’s side to lose the last game against Sri Lanka but poor display with the bat and little bit of overconfidence cost them the game. With a loss to Pakistan earlier they haven’t quite lived up to the tag of being favorites in the tournament. Morgan would know that the next few games would be against the best sides in the tournament starting with Australia. He would like his team to draw confidence from the fact that their recent record against Australia has been brilliant. A win in this game would almost guarantee them a spot in the semi-finals and the team would be eagerly looking forward to the contest. James Vince hasn’t quite filled into the shoes of Jason Roy and would be looking to do well in the next game along with Jonny Bairstow who also missed out in the last game. The middle order is strong for the side with Joe Root, Eoin Morgan and Ben Stokes in good form. The presence of Jos Buttler and Moeen Ali makes the side’s batting strong. In the bowling department Jofra Archer and Mark Wood have had a great season. In fact they have broken the myth of England being a poor team with the ball. Their spinners Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali have also done well and would look to trouble the Australians in company of Stokes and Chris Woakes.
