Centrebet App Review
Multiple Deposit Options
Centrebet was founded back in 1993 and is currently owned by UK bookmaker William Hill in Australia. The Company is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX). This bookmaker is licensed and regulated by the Northern Territory Government in Australia.
Centrebet App Compatibility
The Centrebet mobile app is available in the Apple App Store and via the mobile website for Android. The Apple devices include iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. On an Apple device, the app supports iOS 7.0 and later versions. The mobile website can be viewed from either a mobile device or desktop website.
Why download this app?
The convenience of mobile betting is the main reason for downloading a mobile app. The app can be accessed anywhere in Australia with an internet connection and provides instant access to betting markets. In the case of the Centrebet app, it would be recommended for beginners that just enjoy placing simple bets. It doesn’t come with the bells and whistles compared to other betting sites. They also don’t provide betting promotions, live streaming and other important features that are required by experienced punters. So a novice would enjoy mobile betting at Centrebet.
Banking – This bookmaker offers the basic banking options and has multiple deposit options to choose from via the app.
Power Bet – This feature provides quick access to sports betting markets from the sports menu.
Racing – The app covers horse racing, harness racing and greyhound racing in Australia. They also have betting markets for International horse racing. The basics of racing betting are available with exotic bet types, racing multiples such as Quaddie and tote odds. But they currently don’t provide live streaming.
Summer Sports – Centrebet covers the Australian Open, Big Bash and more.
Winter Sports – During Winter, AFL and NRL is well supported by Centrebet. They also sponsor the St Kilda Saints (AFL) and Penrith Panthers (NRL).
US Sports – I can find the latest betting markets for the NBA, NFL and NHL during Summer. They also have Major League Baseball covered in Winter.

At the time of this review, the app hadn’t been updated on an iPhone for over 6 months. But when they do they need to update the app, it comes with security improvements, bug fixes and new features. The app design is very simple comparing other betting apps and easy to navigate. The homepage includes quick links to the latest sports betting markets and upcoming races. It has a search function and the ability to set up push notifications for upcoming events. The app is designed in a full black background with white text and orange for the call to action.
How to bet on sports using an app?
A mobile app must be downloaded onto a mobile device via the App Store (Apple) and mobile website (Android). Otherwise, the mobile website can be viewed via an internet web browser.
How to bet

- Click on the odds for your bet selection
- Enter a betting stake and select “Confirm Wager”
Centrebet Bonuses and Promotions
The promotions and bonuses at Centrebet are limited, to say the least. They currently don’t provide any promotions for new or existing customers. In addition, there is no sign up bonus available.
For racing, the betting markets can be easily accessed from many sections of the app. It’s also easy to find the next to jump races or bet on future racing. In addition, I can find betting markets for races in Australia and Internationally, whether it’s a horse race, harness race or greyhounds.
In the sports betting markets, they offer most of the basic options expected from a bookmaker. This includes head to head, line and total points. The sports menu has a handy filtered menu where I can choose to find sports by upcoming (within 6 hours for example), future bets, sports category and live sports. Although, they’re limited in live sports betting markets and the sports category filter is hard to determine with a white icon on a white background. In terms of sports, they would be more recommended during the AFL and NRL season. But they do have a good range of betting markets during Summer for Cricket and Tennis.
The Centrebet mobile app currently provides these deposit options:
Credit Card – For a quick deposit, I can register my Credit Card via the app.
PayPal – I can deposit funds using my PayPal account and the minimum amount is $5.
Bank (EFT) – A bank transfer option is available via the app.
BPay – A deposit can be made via a BPay transaction through the mobile app.
Centrebet is a very basic Australian bookmaker with limited innovative features, no promotions and they don’t have a sign up bonus. So this bookmaker would be recommended for novice betting that just likes to simply bet on races and sports. In my opinion, they’re more focused on racing through the app as the features offered would suit a racing punter. In terms of design, I found the app was easy to navigate and I could quickly find upcoming betting markets. It also has a good range of banking options and is available on a wide range of devices. Another positive is they’re owned by William Hill. So they’ll likely improve Centrebet in the future with new features and improvements.
