133 T20 games would be played in the tournament. The 18 teams have been divided into two groups – North and South. Each team would play 14 games each in the league phase with the Top 4 sides in each group qualifying for the Quarter Finals which will be followed by the Semis and the Final. North Group

Birmingham Bears     

The script has been the same for the Bears in the last three seasons. They have finished at the top of their group in the league stage but haven't been able to carry the form into the knockout stage. They lost in the Quarter Final. They won the title in 2014 and have been one of the most consistent teams, reaching the knockout stage 14 times. The side will focus on the title and have a strong team that will trouble the opponents.     

Birmingham Bears Squad: 

Lancashire Lightning     

Since their title win in 2015, the side hasn't kissed the trophy. However, they are the most consistent side in the tournament's history and have made it to the knockout in 17 seasons. The side finished third on the points table during the group stage but lost in the Quarterfinal in 2024. They have a star-studded squad and have the right balance between their batting and bowling. With the kind of batting firepower the team has, they will be one of the teams to watch out for this year. 

Lancashire Lightning Squad: 

Worcestershire Rapids  

The Rapids had a poor tournament in 2024. They won only four out of the 14 games and finished 8th on the points table. The side will look to put last season's upset behind their backs and play with a positive mind. They won the title in 2018 and will take inspiration from that win. The players must focus on consistency throughout the season, as this was the problem for the team in 2024.  

Worcestershire Rapids Squad: 

Notts Outlaws     

They won the title in 2017 and 2019, but the last two few seasons haven't been great for the side. They finished at the bottom of the points table last season and managed to win only three games. Key players in the team failed to deliver what was expected from them. The side has made several changes and has a strong group of young players. With their third title in mind, they shall aim for a better start and build momentum. 

Notts Outlaws Squad: 

Yorkshire Vikings     

The side has struggled to crack the code in this format. They finished 6th on the points table last season and didn't qualify for the knockout stage. They have gotten into the habit of making poor starts, hurting their campaign season after season. They have been in the semifinals once but have not had their hands on the title. It's a new season, and they want to start fresh, aim for a good start, and take things as they come. There are good players on the side, and they can surprise the opponents if they can show consistency. 

Yorkshire Vikings Squad: 

Derbyshire Falcons     

The Falcons finished 7th on the points table last season, and the team is witnessing a downward slide in the last few years. They haven't won the title yet, with the 2019 Semifinal being their best finish. It will be interesting to see if the side can grab its maiden title this year. The side had shown some sparks last year, and they have a good team for the season. 

Derbyshire Falcons Squad:  

Leicestershire Foxes     

Title winners in 2004, 2006, and 2011, the side hasn't repeated its success in the last few seasons. They didn't qualify for the knockouts in the last three seasons and shall be looking to put these upsets behind them. The team has players who can win matches independently, but form and consistency have evaded them in the last four seasons. The team will look to make a positive start and build on the confidence. 

Leicestershire Foxes Squad: 

Northamptonshire Steelbacks     

Two-time winners in 2013 and 2016, the side has seen a slump in its fortune since then. They showed consistency during the league stage last year and finished second on the points table. However, they couldn't carry the form in the knockouts and lost in the Quarterfinal. The side will look to draw some of the positives from the last season, where the players were consistent and aim for their third title. 

Northamptonshire Steelbacks Squad: 

Durham Cricket     

They have been the perennial bottom hunters of the points table in the North Group. But the team showed grit and determination last year to reach the knockouts after a gap of five years. However, they went down in the Quarterfinal, owning to an ordinary performance. The team is known for its poor starts, and they would like to get over this infamous record here. They have talented players who want to prove themselves on the big stage.               

Durham Cricket Squad: 

South Group

Somerset 

Somserset did well as the defending champions last season. However, they had a poor outing in the final, going down against Gloucestershire. The 2005 and 2023 title winners have shown consistency in the last four seasons, where they have made it to the Top 4. The team has some of the best local players in the squad, who have played together for many years and have signed good overseas players. They will be a side to watch out for this season. 

Somerset Squad: 

Hampshire Hawks            

The Hampshire Hawks struggled last season, finishing 8th on the points table in their group. They didn't show the consistency they would have expected last year but finished second on the points table after the league stage. They have won the title thrice – 2010, 2012, and 2022, making them the most successful side with the Leicestershire Foxes. They have a strong batting lineup and depth in the bowling attack, and they will be one of the sides to watch out for this year.

Hampshire Hawks Squad: 

Surrey 

They won the inaugural Blast title in 2003 but have never added another trophy to their cabinet. They did well in the group stage last season and finished at the top after winning nine out of their 14 games. They lost in the Semifinal against Somerset. They have one of the strongest outfits and some of the best overseas T20 players on paper. Bookmakers have them as one of the pre-tournament favorites, and rightly so, based on the team's strength. They have the resources to go to the final and will be one of the teams closely watched. 

Surrey Squad: 

Essex Eagles       

The side missed the knockout qualification by a whisker last year, with a poor run rate hurting them. However, the players will look to take inspiration from the spirited performance they put up in the final phase last year. They have won the title once in 2019 and will aim for their second title. They have been a consistent team and qualified for the knockouts regularly. They have the right group of players to go the distance with a strong bowling attack, giving them an edge. With the players knowing each other's game well, the Eagles will be one of the sides to watch out for.   

Essex Eagles Squad: 

Kent Spitfires     

They won the title in 2007 and 2021 but haven't been in the best shape in the last two seasons. They started poorly last year and failed to recover. The side finished at the bottom of the points table, and key players on the team were out of form throughout the season. The side has some of the best T20 players in this tournament and has the resources to claim their third title this year. They would look for a positive start under a new captain this year and aim to make it to the knockouts. 

Kent Spitfires Squad: 

Sussex Sharks    

The Sharks had a good season last year during the league phase, finishing second on the points table. However, they suffered a massive loss against Gloucestershire in the Semifinal, ending their campaign. It has been a decade and a half of drought for the team that won its only title back in 2009. They have several big names in the squad and look to make it count this year. The batting lineup is strong for the team, with several power hitters in the squad. Their bowlers let the side down last year, and they would look to avoid the same mistake. The side has a new captain this season, and players have been in good form in recent games. They will be a dark horse this year. 

Sussex Sharks Squad: 

Gloucestershire 

The defending champions will start the season with a lot of confidence. It was a great campaign for the team in 2024, where they peaked at the right time and looked brilliant during the knockout stages. The side has strengthened its batting lineup this season and has some of the best players in the format. Gloucestershire will aim to make amends this season and make it to the knockouts. Senior players must deliver the goods for the side to defend their title. 

Gloucestershire Squad: 

Glamorgan 

With six wins in 14 games, Glamorgan will look to get past the poor show from last season. They are one of the weakest teams in the groups, and two semifinal finishes are all that this Welsh side can claim. They haven't posed a serious challenge to their opponents in the past few seasons and have suffered due to their inconsistency. The side hasn't made it to the knockouts since 2017. The side with a lot of talent would like to get the monkey off its back and start well this season. 

Glamorgan Squad: 

Middlesex

They finished 8th on the points table last year with three wins in 14 games. The side has been to the knockouts only once in the last seven seasons. The side has been inconsistent since winning the title back in 2008. They have a strong batting lineup, but the weak bowling attack has let the side down. Poor start has been a problem for the team, and they lost the first ten games last year. Middlesex will look to start the season with a bang and get their campaign going. 

Middlesex Squad:
