T20 Blast 2025 Winner Odds

The T20 Blast has been one of the most competitive T20 leagues in the world. In the past 21 seasons of the tournament, we have seen 13 different sides winning it. It makes it an exception among franchise leagues where we have seen a few teams dominating the tournament. All teams undergo major changes every season, and hence it can be difficult to predict the outright winner at the start of the tournament. We won’t stick our neck out and predict who will win T20 Blast 2025 for the moment. Let us look at the outright winner odds for all the teams after the league stage-

Vitality T20 Blast 2025 Team Previews

The 18 teams shall play in the North and South Groups like in previous years. Let's look at the teams and how they have fared in the tournament.

    North Group

    Birmingham Bears

The script has been the same for the Bears in the last three seasons. They have finished at the top of their group in the league stage but haven't been able to carry the form into the knockout stage. They lost in the Quarter Final. They won the title in 2014 and have been one of the most consistent teams, reaching the knockout stage 14 times. The side will focus on the title and have a strong team that will trouble the opponents.

Birmingham Bears Squad: Alex Davies (c), Hamza Shaikh, Jacob Bethell, Robert Yates, Sam Hain, Zen Malik, Beau Webster, Chris Woakes, Dan Mousley, Ed Barnard, Moeen Ali, Kai Smith, Tom Latham, Che Simmons, Chris Rushworth, Craig Miles, Danny Briggs, Ethan Bamber, Hassan Ali, Jake Lintott, Michael Booth, Oliver Hannon-Dalby, Tazeem Ali

    Lancashire Lightning

Since their title win in 2015, the side hasn't kissed the trophy. However, they are the most consistent side in the tournament's history and have made it to the knockout in 17 seasons. The side finished third on the points table during the group stage but lost in the Quarterfinal in 2024. They have a star-studded squad and have the right balance between their batting and bowling. With the kind of batting firepower the team has, they will be one of the teams to watch out for this year.

Lancashire Lightning Squad: Keaton Jennings (c), Jack Blatherwick, Josh Bohannon, Michael Jones, George Balderson, Tom Hartley, Mitchell Stanley, Tom Aspinwall, George Bell, Josh Boyden, Matty Hurst, Harry Singh, Charlie Barnard, Harry Birkman, Kesh Fonseka, Rocky Flintoff, Ollie Sutton, James Anderson, Jos Buttler, Luke Wells, Ashton Turner, Luke Wood, Tom Bailey, Liam Livingstone, Marcus Harris, Saqib Mahmood, Chris Green, Will Williams, Phil Salt, Anderson Phillip

    Worcestershire Rapids

The Rapids had a poor tournament in 2024. They won only four out of the 14 games and finished 8th on the points table. The side will look to put last season's upset behind their backs and play with a positive mind. They won the title in 2018 and will take inspiration from that win. The players must focus on consistency throughout the season, as this was the problem for the team in 2024.

Worcestershire Rapids Squad: Brett D'Oliveira (c), Adam Hose, Ed Pollock, Henry Nicholls, Jake Libby, Olly Cox, Rob Jones, Ben Gibbon, Ethan Brookes, Jack Home, Kashif Ali, Matthew Waite, Rehaan Edavalath, Tom Hinley, Tom Taylor, Gareth Roderick, Henry Cullen, Adam Finch, Ben Allison, Fateh Singh, Harry Darley, Jacob Duffy, Yadvinder Singh, Ben Dwarshuis

    Notts Outlaws

They won the title in 2017 and 2019, but the last two few seasons haven't been great for the side. They finished at the bottom of the points table last season and managed to win only three games. Key players in the team failed to deliver what was expected from them. The side has made several changes and has a strong group of young players. With their third title in mind, they shall aim for a better start and build momentum.

Notts Outlaws Squad: Joe Clarke (c), Ben Slater, Benjamin Martindale, Haseeb Hameed, Jack Haynes, Sam King, Freddie McCann, Liam Patterson-White, Lyndon James, Matthew Montgomery, Samuel Seecharan, Ben Duckett, Dane Schadendorf, Kyle Verreynne, Tom Moores, Brett Hutton, Calvin Harrison, Conor McKerr, Dillon Pennington, Farhan Ahmed, Josh Tongue, Olly Stone, Robert Lord, Tom Giles, Daniel Sams, Moises Henriques

    Yorkshire Vikings

The side has struggled to crack the code in this format. They finished 6th on the points table last season and didn't qualify for the knockout stage. They have gotten into the habit of making poor starts, hurting their campaign season after season. They have been in the semifinals once but have not had their hands on the title. It's a new season, and they want to start fresh, aim for a good start, and take things as they come. There are good players on the side, and they can surprise the opponents if they can show consistency.

Yorkshire Vikings Squad: Dawid Malan (c), Adam Lyth, Harry Brook, James Wharton, Joe Root, Matthew Revis, William Luxton, George Hill, Jawad Akhtar, Jordan Thompson, Will Sutherland, Yash Vagadia, Finlay Bean, Harry Duke, Jonathan Tattersall, Jonny Bairstow, Noah Kelly, Adil Rashid, Alexander Wade, Ben Coad, Benjamin Cliff, Daniel Moriarty, Dom Bess, Jack White, Jafer Chohan, Matt Milnes, Will O'Rourke

    Derbyshire Falcons

The Falcons finished 7th on the points table last season, and the team is witnessing a downward slide in the last few years. They haven't won the title yet, with the 2019 Semifinal being their best finish. It will be interesting to see if the side can grab its maiden title this year. The side had shown some sparks last year, and they have a good team for the season.

Derbyshire Falcons Squad:  Samit Patel (c), Wayne Madsen, Caleb Jewell, Harry Came, Ross Whiteley, Yusuf Bin Naeem, Anuj Dal, David Lloyd, Luis Reece, Martin Andersson, Mitchell Wagstaff, Aneurin Donald, Brooke Guest, Ben Aitchison, Blair Tickner, Harry Moore, Jack Morley, Nick Potts, Pat Brown, Zak Chappell, Allah Ghazanfar

    Leicestershire Foxes

Title winners in 2004, 2006, and 2011, the side hasn't repeated its success in the last few seasons. They didn't qualify for the knockouts in the last three seasons and shall be looking to put these upsets behind them. The team has players who can win matches independently, but form and consistency have evaded them in the last four seasons. The team will look to make a positive start and build on the confidence.

Leicestershire Foxes Squad: Peter Handscomb (c), Lewis Hill, Rishi Patel, Shan Masood, Sol Budinger, Ben Green, Ben Mike, Ian Holland, Liam Trevaskis, Logan van Beek, Louis Kimber, Sam Wood, Tom Scriven, Ben Cox, Harry Swindells, Alex Green, Chris Wright, Josh Hull, Matt Salisbury, Rehan Ahmed, Roman Walker

    Northamptonshire Steelbacks

Two-time winners in 2013 and 2016, the side has seen a slump in its fortune since then. They showed consistency during the league stage last year and finished second on the points table. However, they couldn't carry the form in the knockouts and lost in the Quarterfinal. The side will look to draw some of the positives from the last season, where the players were consistent and aim for their third title.

Northamptonshire Steelbacks Squad: David Willey (c), Aadi Sharma, George Bartlett, Gus Miller, James Sales, Matthew Breetzke, Ricardo Vasconcelos, Justin Broad, Luke Procter, Ravi Bopara, Rob Keogh, Saif Zaib, Arush Buchake, Lewis McManus, Ben Sanderson, Calvin Harrison, Dominic Leech, Freddie Heldreich, George Scrimshaw, Harry Conway, Liam Guthrie, Raphael Weatherall, Tiaan Louw, Lloyd Pope

    Durham Cricket

They have been the perennial bottom hunters of the points table in the North Group. But the team showed grit and determination last year to reach the knockouts after a gap of five years. However, they went down in the Quarterfinal, owning to an ordinary performance. The team is known for its poor starts, and they would like to get over this infamous record here. They have talented players who want to prove themselves on the big stage.

Durham Cricket Squad: Alex Lees (c), Ben Stokes, James Neesham, Ben McKinney, Emilio Gay, Graham Clark, Bas de Leede, Ben Raine, Brydon Carse, Colin Ackermann, George Drissell, Mitchell Killeen, Paul Coughlin, Scott Borthwick, Will Rhodes, Zakary Foulkes, David Bedingham, Ollie Robinson, Callum Parkinson, Codi Yusuf, Daniel Hogg, Jack Blatherwick, Jake Ball, James Minto, Mark Wood, Matthew Potts, Nathan Sowter, Neil Wagner, Samuel Conners

    South Group

    Somerset

Somserset did well as the defending champions last season. However, they had a poor outing in the final, going down against Gloucestershire. The 2005 and 2023 title winners have shown consistency in the last four seasons, where they have made it to the Top 4. The team has some of the best local players in the squad, who have played together for many years and have signed good overseas players. They will be a side to watch out for this season.

Somerset Squad: Lewis Gregory (c), Andrew Umeed, Sean Dickson, Tom Abell, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Tom Lammonby, Will Smeed, Archie Vaughan, Craig Overton, Fin Hill, Joshua Thomas, Kasey Aldridge, Lewis Goldsworthy, James Rew, Thomas Rew, Tom Banton, Jack Leach, Josh Davey, JT Langridge, Matt Henry, Migael Pretorius, Riley Meredith, Shoaib Bashir

    Hampshire Hawks

The Hampshire Hawks struggled last season, finishing 8th on the points table in their group. They didn't show the consistency they would have expected last year but finished second on the points table after the league stage. They have won the title thrice – 2010, 2012, and 2022, making them the most successful side with the Leicestershire Foxes. They have a strong batting lineup and depth in the bowling attack, and they will be one of the sides to watch out for this year.

Hampshire Hawks Squad: James Vince (c), Nick Gubbins, Ali Orr, Fletcha Middleton, Mark Stoneman, Tom Prest, Brett Hampton, Dewald Brevis, Felix Organ, James Fuller, Liam Dawson, Ben Brown, Toby Albert, Brad Wheal, John Turner, Kyle Abbott, Sonny Baker, Lhuan-dre Pretorius

    Surrey

They won the inaugural Blast title in 2003 but have never added another trophy to their cabinet. They did well in the group stage last season and finished at the top after winning nine out of their 14 games. They lost in the Semifinal against Somerset. They have one of the strongest outfits and some of the best overseas T20 players on paper. Bookmakers have them as one of the pre-tournament favorites, and rightly so, based on the team's strength. They have the resources to go to the final and will be one of the teams closely watched.

Surrey Squad: Sam Curran (c), Dominic Sibley, Jason Roy, Laurie Evans, Ollie Pope, Rory Burns, Ryan Patel, Dan Lawrence, Jamie Overton, Jordan Clark, Nathan Smith, Ollie Sykes, Thomas Lawes, Tom Curran, Ben Foakes, Jamie Smith, Josh Blake, Cameron Steel, Daniel Worrall, Gus Atkinson, James Taylor, Matt Dunn, Matthew Fisher, Nathan Barnwell, Seb Stuart-Reckling, Tom Ealham, Yousef Majid, Mitchell Santner

    Essex Eagles

The side missed the knockout qualification by a whisker last year, with a poor run rate hurting them. However, the players will look to take inspiration from the spirited performance they put up in the final phase last year. They have won the title once in 2019 and will aim for their second title. They have been a consistent team and qualified for the knockouts regularly. They have the right group of players to go the distance with a strong bowling attack, giving them an edge. With the players knowing each other's game well, the Eagles will be one of the sides to watch out for.

Essex Eagles Squad: Simon Harmer (c), Tom Westley, Michael Pepper, Shane Snater, Jordan Cox, Robin Das, Luc Benkenstein, Simon Fernandes, Jamal Richards, Noah Thain, Charlie Allison, Mackenzie Jones, Dean Elgar, Adam Rossington, Nick Browne, Jamie Porter, Matt Critchley, Sam Cook, Paul Walter, Mohammad Amir

    Kent Spitfires

They won the title in 2007 and 2021 but haven't been in the best shape in the last two seasons. They started poorly last year and failed to recover. The side finished at the bottom of the points table, and key players on the team were out of form throughout the season. The side has some of the best T20 players in this tournament and has the resources to claim their third title this year. They would look for a positive start under a new captain this year and aim to make it to the knockouts.

Kent Spitfires Squad: Sam Billings (c), Zak Crawley, Grant Stewart, Joey Evison, Chris Benjamin, Nathan Gilchrist, Marcus O'Riordan, George Garrett, Ben Compton, Michael Cohen, Tawanda Muyeye, Jas Singh, Jaydn Denly, Ekansh Singh, Ben Dawkins, Corey Flintoff, Joe Denly, Daniel Bell-Drummond, Jack Leaning, Matt Quinn, Harry Finch, Matt Parkinson, Fred Klaassen, Wes Agar, Tom Rogers

    Sussex Sharks

The Sharks had a good season last year during the league phase, finishing second on the points table. However, they suffered a massive loss against Gloucestershire in the Semifinal, ending their campaign. It has been a decade and a half of drought for the team that won its only title back in 2009. They have several big names in the squad and look to make it count this year. The batting lineup is strong for the team, with several power hitters in the squad. Their bowlers let the side down last year, and they would look to avoid the same mistake. The side has a new captain this season, and players have been in good form in recent games. They will be a dark horse this year.

Sussex Sharks Squad: Tymal Mills (c), Danial Ibrahim, Daniel Hughes, George Thomas, Harrison Ward, Nantes Oosthuizen, Tom Clark, Tom Haines, Bertie Foreman, Danny Lamb, Fynn Hudson-Prentice, Henry Rogers, James Coles, Nathan McAndrew, Zach Lion-Cachet, Charlie Tear, John Simpson, Oliver Carter, Tom Alsop, Archie Lenham, Aristides Karvelas, Brad Currie, Gurinder Sandhu, Henry Crocombe, Jack Carson, James Hayes, Jayden Seales, Ollie Moore, Ollie Robinson, Sean Hunt, Troy Henry

    Gloucestershire

The defending champions will start the season with a lot of confidence. It was a great campaign for the team in 2024, where they peaked at the right time and looked brilliant during the knockout stages. The side has strengthened its batting lineup this season and has some of the best players in the format. Gloucestershire will aim to make amends this season and make it to the knockouts. Senior players must deliver the goods for the side to defend their title.

Gloucestershire Squad: Jack Taylor (c), Cameron Bancroft, Zaman Akhter, Ben Charlesworth, Tom Price, Dominic Goodman, Ollie Price, Ed Middleton, Luke Charlesworth, Joe Phillips, Tommy Boorman, Ahmed Syed, Zaman Shafi, Archie Bailey, Tom Smith, David Payne, Chris Dent, Matt Taylor, Marchant de Lange, Miles Hammond, Josh Shaw, Graeme van Buuren, Ajeet Singh Dale, James Bracey, D'Arcy Short

    Glamorgan

With six wins in 14 games, Glamorgan will look to get past the poor show from last season. They are one of the weakest teams in the groups, and two semifinal finishes are all that this Welsh side can claim. They haven't posed a serious challenge to their opponents in the past few seasons and have suffered due to their inconsistency. The side hasn't made it to the knockouts since 2017. The side with a lot of talent would like to get the monkey off its back and start well this season.

Glamorgan Squad: Sam Northeast (c), Kiran Carlson, Dan Douthwaite, Edward Byrom, Zain Ul-Hassan, Jamie Mcllroy, Tom Bevan, Alex Horton, Andrew Gorvin, Callum Nicholls, Ben Kellaway, Will Smale, Ben Morris, Asa Tribe, Shoaib Bashir, Henry Hurle, Tom Norton, James Harris, Colin Ingram, Chris Cooke, Timm van der Gugten, Billy Root, Mason Crane, Hayden Kerr

    Middlesex

They finished 8th on the points table last year with three wins in 14 games. The side has been to the knockouts only once in the last seven seasons. The side has been inconsistent since winning the title back in 2008. They have a strong batting lineup, but the weak bowling attack has let the side down. Poor start has been a problem for the team, and they lost the first ten games last year. Middlesex will look to start the season with a bang and get their campaign going.

Middlesex Squad: Stephen Eskinazi (c), Aaryan Sawant, Ben Geddes, Joshua De Caires, Kane Williamson, Leus du Plooy, Max Holden, Sam Robson, Blake Cullen, Luke Hollman, Nathan Fernandes, Ryan Higgins, Sebastian Morgan, Jack Davies, Joe Cracknell, Dane Paterson, Henry Brookes, Ishaan Kaushal, Josh Little, Naavya Sharma, Noah Cornwell, Toby Roland-Jones, Tom Helm, Zafar Gohar
