Wales vs Ireland: Predictions & Odds

Cardiff City Stadium – Cardiff
Wales welcome Ireland to the Cardiff City Stadium in their inaugural Nations League match knowing that Martin O’Neill’s side will be as tough to break down as ever. New coach Ryan Giggs has named a familiar squad and will be pleased that his top players are all available.
With Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey, Wales will be fancied at home but were unable to score in either match in the recent World Cup qualifiers between the two countries – where Ireland went on to face fellow Nations League group side Denmark in the playoff.
Ireland’s run up to the match has been dominated by talk about Declan Rice possibly turning his back on Ireland to play for England, so O’Neill will probably just be keen to get on with some actual football.
This should be a low scoring affair due to the nature of both sides but if Bale can conjure up a bit of magic Wales could win this by the solitary goal, and 1-0 seems a solid prediction.
