Spain vs Croatia: Predictions & Odds
The match ended 6-0. Bet on the matches of the Premier League.
Croatia will still be on a high after their World Cup exploits in the summer when they appeared in their first ever major tournament final. World Cup triumph was not to be but they will be confident of holding their own against Spain in this Nations League tie.
But there have been some notable departures since the summer, with Mario Mandzukic, Vedran Corluka and Danijel Subasic all retiring. Monaco goalkeeper Subasic may be missed the most as Spain look to attack at every given opportunity.
After the chaos caused by Julen Lopetegui’s departure on the eve of the World Cup – and their elimination by the hosts on penalties – new coach Luis Enrique has named a strong squad and will be hoping that Isco in particular replicates the form he showed in Russia.
Although there had been rumours of international retirement both Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic will be available for Croatia but Spain must be favourites at home and should run out 2-1 winners.
