SA won by 120 runs. ODI 2 of 3 (SA leads 2-0). Date: October 03, 2018 Time: 13:00 Venue: Mangaung Oval, Bloemfontein South Africa vs Zimbabwe 2nd ODI Betting Tips Zimbabwe has only won twice against South Africa in ODIs and their last victory came way back in February 2000. Our Prediction SA vs ZIM 2nd ODI: South African team looks favourites to win the 2nd ODI South Africa For most pundits the result of the first game was a foregone conclusion and hence stand-in skipper JP Duminy wouldn’t have been the most satisfied man on the planet after his side lost 5 wickets chasing a small total of 117 runs in the first game. While his fast bowlers played to the script and dismissed the weak Zimbabwean side early when it came to batting it was a huff and puff ride for the home side. Some of the batsmen may have been complacent and Duminy would hope that they leave no such room for error in the upcoming game in Bloemfontein and seal the 3-Match series with a comprehensive win. In the batting department although the side had a bad outing Aiden Markram and Dean Elgar have been in good form for the last year. Wicketkeeper Heinrich Klaasen stood out in the batting and along with skipper Duminy and Christiaan Jonker makes the middle order look extremely strong. Jonker who made his debut in the last game and missed out would look to make most out of the next opportunity. They have the best bowling attack in the world and Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi showed their skills with the ball in the last game. Andile Phehlukwayo also bowled well and so did Imran Tahir and together they make a very strong bowling line up which will be difficult for Zimbabwe to score against. Zimbabwe For Zimbabwe it has been a bad year so far and their woes shows no signs of change noting their performance in the first game. Hamilton Masakadza would be extremely unhappy at the way his batsmen surrendered in the last game. Barring himself and Elton Chigumbura to a certain extent no one else showed the hunger to succeed. Though South Africa have a quality fast bowling attack most of the batsmen got out to poor shots and didn’t play to occupy the crease. His bowlers did well in their attempt to defend the score but the skipper would want his men to show more determination in the upcoming game. The batting for Zimbabwe depends on skipper Masakadza who would be expected to give the team solid start. Solomon Mire who failed in the last time would look to perform better in the upcoming match. In Craig Ervine, wicketkeeper Brendan Taylor and Sean Williams they have a talented middle order and the skipper would expect these men to live up to their potential. Bowling wise Tendai Chatara is the lead bowler and had a great outing in the last game and so did Wellington Masakadza. Kyle Jarvis didn’t have the best day at the office and he would surely like to come up with better show in the next game. South Africa despite their indifferent performance in the last game with their batting would start as favourites to win this game.
