Leicester vs Liverpool: Predictions, Odds and Betting Tips
The match ended 1-2. Bet on the next Premier League matches.
Liverpool travel to the King Power Stadium where Leicester are looking to make it three wins out of three.
Liverpool have a 100% record so far having won their first three games – the first time they have achieved that feat since 2013-14. They finished second to Manchester City that season after throwing away a great chance of winning the league in the last few games of the campaign.
Harry Maguire’s late winner away at Southampton has helped erase the painful memories of the beginning of last season when Leicester made a terrible start and dropped as low as 18th after eight games. Two wins in their first three games has given the Foxes back the confidence they seemed to have lost last season.
Virgil van Dijk has made an immediate impact on the Liverpool defence – with his side not conceding a single goal so far this season. There seems to be a great understanding between the Dutchman and Joe Gomez that has improved an area of the game that has been Liverpool’s downfall in recent seasons.
Leicester will be without Jamie Vardy once again as he continues his three match ban for the red card he picked up against Wolves. Kelechi Iheanacho will hope to prove that he is worth a longer run in the side but will find it tough against a miserly Liverpool defence. Liverpool should still win this one 2-1.
Liverpool to win 1.44 and both teams to score at 1.87 according to Betway. Bet Now!
Once again Liverpool has been touted as title challengers – but this season it looks as if they may actually have a chance. With Salah, Mane and Firmino, goals are always expected so three points could well be on the cards. But Leicester has scored five in three themselves so expect both keepers to be busy.
Brighton were able to nullify Liverpool’s attack in their last match but had looked under pressure for large amounts of the first half especially. Leicester will have to be on top form to stop Liverpool scoring and Salah surely can’t miss so many chances two matches in a row.

Head to Head
Liverpool won both league encounters last season, winning 2-1 at home before recording a 3-2 victory in the return fixture. Vardy scored in both those games though and will be missed by Leicester for this one. The East Midlands outfit beat Liverpool at home in the third round of the EFL Cup but Klopp did put out a fairly unfamiliar starting XI.
- Liverpool’s Virgil Van Dijk has completed 256 passes this season so far – only Chelsea’s summer signing Jorginho has recorded more.
- Harry Maguire made more passes than any other Leicester player in the Premier League last season. He also topped the table for aerial battles won, clearances and yellow cards.
- Liverpool are the only side in the Premier League to have kept three clean sheets so far this season. Strangely, new boys Cardiff are next in the list having only conceded against Bournemouth on the opening day of the season.
- Leicester have had a surprisingly good record against Liverpool over the years. In all competitions they have recorded 35 wins, as opposed to Liverpool’s 41.
