Bournemouth vs Arsenal: Predictions, Betting Tips & Odds
Sunday, November 25th, 2018 at 14:30
Both these sides look to get back to winning ways after a less than fruitful November for Eddie Howe and Unai Emery.
Bournemouth have been the surprise hit of the Premier League so far this season but have come unstuck in their last couple of matches. They have not won at home since the first day of October and will want three points here to kick start their season after the international break.
Arsenal have done things in extremes so far in the Premier League – losing their first two then winning the next seven, before drawing their last three. Unai Emery had seemed to have worked out how to play both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette but needed some readjustment against Wolves to take a point last time out.
Bournemouth have managed to keep in touch with the top spots but their two recent defeats at the hands of Manchester United and Newcastle has created a gap between them and Arsenal in fifth. Eddie Howe would discount talk of European qualification anyway but a return to winning ways would be welcome.
It was always going to be interesting to see what would happen at Arsenal after Arsene Wenger’s departure and Unai Emery seems to have got the side playing the same kind of football that the Frenchman extolled during his time at the club. This match could be a tight affair and a 1-1 draw is not impossible.
- The draw
Both Bournemouth and Arsenal are desperate for a win and that could result in a patchy game where neither side get exactly what they want.
- Both teams to score
Arsenal have only failed to score once in the Premier League – and that was on the first day of the season. Bournemouth have also found the net regularly so they should both get on the score sheet here.

Head To Head
These two sides have not met on many occasions over the years but Bournemouth did record their first ever victory in their last match at the turn of the year.
- Even with Manchester City dominating the league with their distinct brand of football it is a Bournemouth player – Ryan Fraser – who heads the Premier League assists table.
- Aubameyang and Lacazette have looked really good this season but the whole squad has weighed in with goals – only Manchester City and Chelsea have scored more in the league.
- Bournemouth are currently lying sixth in the Premier League – their highest ever finish was ninth in the 2016/17 season.
- All the Premier League awards for October went to players or staff from these two sides. Eddie Howe won the manager of the month, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was player of the month and Aaron Ramsey scored the goal of the month.
