Arsenal vs Qarabağ: Predictions, Betting Tips & Odds
Thursday, December 13th, 2018, 22:00
Not much to play for at the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal are already through as group winners and Qarabag have been eliminated.
Arsenal have found this Europa League group fairly easy and have only dropped points against Sporting Lisbon. Qarabag should not pose much of a threat to the North London side and although they have already qualified, a home win is almost guaranteed.
Group E has been a struggle for Qarabag. The Azerbaijan champions took four games before they recorded a single goal – in what has been their only victory of the campaign away to Vorskla Poltava. Not much will be expected of the visitors and anything apart from a thrashing can be seen as a positive result.
Arsenal will be able to field an inexperienced side once again for the visit of Qarabag, safe in the knowledge that they are already assured of the group winners’ title. The youngsters could be even more up for the match than the usual starting eleven so there could be a few goals in this one.
Qarabag will still be feeling embarrassed by their 6-1 mauling at the hands of Sporting Lisbon on match day five. Although the Azerbaijan side may well have expected to be beaten it is the manner of the defeat that will hurt. Unfortunately they could be in for more of the same in London and if Arsenal start playing the football around like they can, then this could end up 4-0 to the Gunners.
- Arsenal to win to nil
Arsenal will surely win this match – and betting sites will have them to score a fair few goals in the process. Qarabag, on the other hand, have only scored two in five games so it could be a slow night for the Arsenal keeper.
- Total goals over 3.5
This could be the chance for the Arsenal side to put on a real show for their fans so expect a lot of goals whoever starts the match.

Head to Head
Arsenal’s 3-0 win at the Baku National Stadium in October was the first time these two sides had ever met.
- Arsenal are on a run of four successive clean sheets. One more will equal the all-time Europa League record of five held by Napoli and Salzburg.
- Qarabag have only ever won three away matches in the Europa League group stage – all by the same 1-0 margin.
- Arsenal’s goals in the 3-0 victory away to Qarabag came from Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Emile Smith Rowe and Matteo Guendouzi, none of whom had previously scored for the club.
- Losing 6-1 to Sporting Lisbon in their most recent group game severely dented Qarabag’s goal difference. Only Luxemburg side F91 Dudelange have a worse balance with -13.
