The Gunners welcome an Everton side that have not really got going this season – and look to carry on their own good form.

Unai Emery must be wondering what everyone was worrying about. Arsenal were a club supposedly in crisis after losing their first two games but after three consecutive victories things are looking bright in north London. Arsenal have not consistently provided the free flowing football they were once known for but a home win against Everton is probably to be expected.

Everton welcome Richarlison back from suspension – and how they’ve missed him. The Brazilian international has been absent for some poor performances and the solitary victory this season came before he received a straight red against Bournemouth. He may offer an attacking outlet for Everton but they will do well to come away from the Emirates with anything.

Everton’s dip in form has coincided with an ever-growing defensive injury list – two facts that may well be connected. Head coach Marco Silva will be hoping that either Michael Keane or Yerry Mina will be back for this game, although Seamus Coleman will probably still not be available.

Arsenal now have five of the next seven games at home and have hit a rich vein of form at precisely the right time. Their fixtures also now look easier than the Manchester City and Chelsea double that kicked off their season and three points are on the cards here. A 2-0 victory could be the outcome.

Betting Tips

Without looking like world beaters, Arsenal have started to put a run of results together and a home win seems like the most likely outcome given Everton’s mixed fortunes so far this season.

Arsenal seemed to have turned the corner and with even the unfairly derided Mesut Ozil getting on the score sheet against Newcastle it looks like the Gunners will look to get off to a good start against Everton – and then make sure of the points in the second half.

Arsenal have really shared the goals around this season. Their 10 Premier League goals have all been scored by different players.

Everton have already received two red cards this season – Phil Jagielka against Wolves and Richarlison against Bournemouth. They only received three in the whole of last year.

Arsenal were always known as side who liked to move the ball around and although they have made 2,605 passes in their five games so far this season, that pales into comparison with Chelsea who have made 3,757 in the same amount of games.

Everton and Arsenal are two of only six clubs that have played in every Premier League season – Spurs, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea are the others.
