Manchester City may have surprisingly lost to Norwich at the weekend, but Sergio Aguero’s goal keeps the Argentinian striker as favourite to win the Golden Boot this season. Harry Kane didn’t manage any in Tottenham’s rout of Palace but he still in the running. While Aubameyang’s brace away at Watford has kept him in contention.

The Favorites

1. Sergio Aguero – Manchester City have more than enough strikers to choose from but Aguero has a habit of regularly getting on the score sheet. (+300)

2. Harry Kane – The England captain remains one of the favourites with the bookies. (+500)

3. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – The Arsenal striker looks hungry for goals once again this season but does attract very attractive odds. (+550)

4. Mo Salah – Last year’s joint winner looks to be a good bet for repeating his triumph this year. (+550)

5. Raheem Sterling – The Manchester City attacker has grown in confidence since the beginning of last season and looks like he will be in the running this year. (+600)

6. Sadio Mane – Liverpool are another team that have a few options when it comes to strikers. But Mane is usually good for a goal or two. (+1000)

7. Tammy Abraham – With Chelsea unable to bring in any new players this summer Abraham is set to be given a chance to show how good he really is. (+1000)

8. Teemu Pukki – The Norwich fans knew that Pukki would be able to repeat his Championship goal haul in the Premier League – everyone else is finding out now. (+1800)

9. Marcus Rashford – The United striker has excelled for club and country and will be the main focus for his team now that Lukaku has left. (+3300)

10. Jamie Vardy – It was thought that Vardy would move after Leicester’s stunning title win a few years ago – but he has stayed at the club that gave him a chance and has decided to repay them in goals. (+2500)

Next Matches

Leicester City vs Tottenham Hotspur – Jamie Vardy will be looking to grab a few goals after missing out against Manchester United. But Harry Kane will also relish the chance to get back on the score sheet.

Burnley vs Norwich City – Teemu Pukki has shown that it doesn’t matter what division he is in – he will score. But Sean Dyche’s Burnley are always a tough team to come up against.

Manchester City vs Watford – The Hornets surprised Arsenal last week in coming back to snatch their first point of the season. Can they keep Sergio Aguero out though?

West Ham vs Manchester United – Marcus Rashford coolly put away a penalty in an otherwise forgettable game against Leicester. Can he repeat the trick away at West Ham?

Arsenal vs Aston Villa – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang did his job against Watford last week, scoring two goals. His team didn’t back him up though – and they will need to pull together to beat Aston Villa.

Chelsea vs Liverpool – Probably the game of the weekend as Tammy Abraham, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane all look for the goals to propel them up the Golden Boot list.

Our Prediction

Aguero to become the Premier League’s top goal scorer

Sergio Aguero continues to show what an exceptional striker he is in the Premier League. Even the shock defeat away to Norwich didn’t slow the Argentina international down as he managed to grab another goal. He may be the favourite for the Golden Boot now but he is a worthy recipient of that current tag.
