The Champions League returns this week and the big game in Group E sees Holders Liverpool travel to Naples on Tuesday to face Napoli.
Napoli welcome Champions League holders Liverpool to San Paolo, having beaten them 1-0 last season at home. Liverpool have won all four of their opening Premier Leagues games while Napoli lost a thrilling 4-3 game away to Juventus before the international break.
GAME TO END AS A DRAW
Both these sides are evenly balanced, with each team winning their matches on home soil last season. Napoli have brought in Greek defender Kostas Manolas to partner Kalidou Koulibaly while the Reds boast the titan Virgil Van Dijk in theirs. The recent games between these sides have been tight affairs and that could be why the bookies expecting similar.
MATCH TO END WITH LESS THAN 2.5 GOALS
Napoli have only lost three times in their 19 matches played at home in the Champions League since making their debut in the reformatted competition in 2011 and they could prove difficult to break down again in this one.
DRAW AND BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
Napoli don’t lose too many European matches at home, while Liverpool have something of a patchy away record of late.

Head to Head
These sides last met in the Champions League group stage last season. The Azzurri won their home fixture at the San Paolo 1-0 thanks to a Lorenzo Insigne late winner, while the Reds also won 1-0 at Anfield. A late, wonder save by goalkeeper Alisson denied the Italian side a dramatic equaliser that would have put Liverpool out. These sides also met in the Europa League group stage in 2010, as the first game ended as a goalless draw in Naples, while the Reds won 3-1 at home in the return fixture.
The match to end in a draw.
Napoli have conceded seven times in their opening two matches in Serie A despite bringing in two new faces to their backline, however Coach Carlo Ancelotti will no doubt have a card up his sleeve for his old foes Liverpool.
For Liverpool, this match is their first in the Champions League since beating Tottenham Hotspur in last season’s final. The Reds have been in some good form in the Premier League and will be confident heading into this one, however, they will need to show some respect to the Partenopei who could give new Mexican signing Hirving Lozano his debut in Europe.
