Everton’s patchy form no doubt has many fans worried as the defending champions head to Goodison looking to continue making up lost ground on title rivals Liverpool.
After thumping Watford 8-0, City proved a point to many doubters and Pep Guardiola will be eager to maintain momentum. They should do it too having netted at least twice in the first half in five of their seven games played this season across the Premier League and Champions League. That is one of the main reasons why City are such favourites to get the win with popular sportsbooks so back Guardiola and co to all but get the job done in the first half with over 1.25 goals.
OVER 1.25 GOALS IN THE FIRST HALF
Admittedly, Manchester City did concede the last time they went on the road in the Premier League, but they have since bounced back with back-to-back clean sheets in all competitions (and 11 goals in the process). By contrast, the Toffees have failed to score in 50% of their Premier League games this season including last time out on home soil. All of this makes it impossible to not back City to keep a clean sheet with online betting sites for outright value.
MAN CITY TO KEEP A CLEAN SHEET
In two of their last three head to head matches Manchester City, have scored exactly three goals. That may be a little loose but when you consider that twice this season the Citizens have scored exactly three goals in two of their seven games in all competitions and Everton conceded exactly three against Bournemouth, it is looking more and more likely that three is the magic number for the blue half of Manchester. Manchester City to win 3-0 also offers some pretty good value for a likely score line.
CITY TO WIN 3-0

Head to Head
Prior to 2013, Everton’s record against City was actually very good. However, since then, not so. City did the double over the Toffee’s last season with a 3-1 win at the Etihad before going on to win 2-0 at Goodison Park. However, Everton did thump City 4-0 as recently as January 2017 in the Premier League on home soil. Overall, Everton have claimed 68 wins over the Citizens with Guardiola’s charges recording 71 victories and a total of 47 draws.
City to win to nil
After a shock defeat to Norwich, many people predicted a Manchester City crisis. However, after dismantling Shakhtar Donetsk and then Watford, Pep Guardiola’s charges are in full flow with nine goals in two games. Although the Toffees are on home soil, goals have been hard to come by having failed to score in three of their Premier League games. Expect City to continue the pressure at the top having firmly learnt from past mistakes this season.
