Squad Comparison

Middlesex

Dawid Malan’s went down against Kent Spitfires in the last game as their batsmen were unable to deliver at the top. The side has otherwise looked in great form this season with their batting and bowling clicking well. It was a failure at the top in the last game as Malan, Stephen Eskinazi and AB de Villiers failed. Eoin Morgan and Paul Stirling did well in the game and so did John Simpson but that wasn’t enough. In the bowling department, Mujeeb ur Rahman did well and Nathan Sowter also looked good. But the side would look at Tom Helm, Steven Finn, and Toby Roland-Jones to bowl tighter lines in the next game for the side to win.

Somerset

Tom Abell leading the side for the first time this season was able to bring to an end the three-match losing streak for the side. The win against Sussex Sharks would have restored confidence in the Somerset camp after the losses they have been through. It was a good show from the top order with Babar Azam and Tom Branton playing well at the top. James Hildreth and Edward Byron also did well in the game. With Abell, Tom Lammonby and Roelof van der Merwe they will go into the game with a strong batting line-up. Bowling still remains a concern for the side as has been right through the season. Max Waller and Jerome Taylor have to do well in the next game and would expect good support from Craig Overton, van der Merwe and Jamie Overton in the next game.

Our Prediction for Middlesex vs Somerset

Middlesex have a strong batting line-up and they are playing at home and this would make them favorites for the next game.

Squad Comparison

Gloucestershire

Michael Klinger’s side suffered another loss in the last game against Essex Eagles. Their bowlers were unable to stick to their plan and the side now finds itself in a spot of bother ahead of the next game. Ryan Higgins played well in the last game and found a good partner in Jack Taylor. The top order failed though. Miles Hammond, Klinger, and James Bracey have done well in earlier games and having Ian Cockbain in the squad make it look strong. Benny Howell and David Payne have bowled well this season without much support from other bowlers. Andrew Tye has been a failure and him along with Higgins will need to do well for the side to win the next game.

Sussex Sharks

Luke Wright’s team is on a roll this season. Apart from the game tied game against Surrey they have done it easily so far. They won by nine wickets in the last game against Kent Spitfires were their top 3 – Phillip Salt, skipper Wight and Luke Evans chasing the score easily. They have a long batting line-up in Alex Carey, David Wiese, Delray Rawlins, and Chris Jordan. This will fill the side with confidence going into the next game. Bowlers are also having a good time with Tymal Mills looking in great form. Chris Jordan and Jofra Archer add strength to the bowling attack that also has Rashid Khan although the Afghan bowler isn’t having the best of time in this tournament.

Our Prediction for Gloucestershire vs Sussex Sharks

Sussex Sharks have looked a very good side with the bat and the ball and they would start ahead of Gloucestershire in the next game.

Squad Comparison

Yorkshire Vikings

Steven Patterson’s side went down in the last game against Worcestershire Rapids without being able to put up much of a fight. Into their sixth game, the side has been able to register only one win with two of their games being washed away. Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Adam Lyth batted well in the last game. But the lower order wasn’t quite able to capitalize on the platform they laid. Harry Brooks, David Willey, Gary Balance, and Tim Bresnen will have to bat well in the next game for the side to win. As far as their bowling performance was concerned none of the bowlers had a good day. Dominic Bess and David Willey have to do well in the next game and would expect good support from Patterson and Jordan Thompson.

Birmingham Bears

It has been two defeats in two games for Jeetan Patel’s side. They had started the season in great style but seem to have lost the momentum going down against Notts Outlaws in the last game by a huge margin. The batting line-up suffered a collapse for the second consecutive game. Michael Burgess and Sam Hain were the only batsmen standing their ground. The side would hope to see better batting efforts from Ed Pollock, Adam Hose and Ashton Agar in the next game. In the bowling department, Oily Stone and Henry Brooks did well but they will need good support from Fidel Edwards, Patel and Agar going into the next game.

Our Prediction for Yorkshire Vikings vs Birmingham Bears

Both the sides are struggling but Yorkshire Vikings playing at home would have the odds slightly tilted in their favour.

Squad Comparison

Worcestershire Rapids

Callum Ferguson returning as skipper in the last game against Yorkshire Vikings led his team to a five-wicket win. With three back to back wins the side looks in good form going into the next one. Rikki Wessels played a wonderful knock in the last game and was well supported by Ferguson and Wayne Parnell. Having Martin Guptill and Ben Cox in the line-up makes them look pretty strong and they would count on their chances. Though the bowling attack isn’t looking threatening they have good bowlers in Dillon Pennington, Parnell, and Patrick Brown. The skipper would also want Ed Barnard and Daryl Mitchell to do well in the next game.

Leicestershire Foxes

Colin Ackermann saw his side face a defeat against Durham Jets by 8 wickets in the last game. It has been a bad season for them so far where they have managed only a single win. It was again the same script playing for the side where the top order failed. Mark Cosgrove, Harry Swindells, and Arron Lilley got their starts but were unable to convert them into big scores. Ackermann was the only batsman doing well and he would expect the top order and Harry Dearden to score big runs in the next game. Ackermann and Dieter Klein were good with the ball but the rest went for runs. The team management would be expecting a better show with the ball from Will Davis and Gavin Griffiths in the next game.

Prediction for Worcestershire Rapids vs Leicestershire Foxes

Worcestershire Rapids are looking in good form this season and this will make them favourites to win the next game.

Squad Comparison

Kent Spitfires

Daniel Bell-Drummond’s side suffered the first defeat of the season against Sussex Sharks. The fact that this loss came after five consecutive wins go to show the kind of form the side has been in the season. Daniel Bell-Drummond did well with the bat and was well supported by Mohammad Nabi but the rest of batsmen failed in the game. Zak Crawley, Oliver Robinson, and Heino Kuhn have done well in the season with the bat and would look to do well in the next game. It was a bad day with the ball for the side in the last game but they have done well in earlier games. Imran Qayyum, Adam Milne, Nabi, and Hardus Viljoen will look to do well with the ball in the next game.

Hampshire

After a poor start to the season James Vince’s side has made a strong comeback and has registered three back-to-back wins. The last game saw them defending a small score against Glamorgan which would have added to the confidence of the side. Their batting show was poor and apart from Vince, Rilee Rossouw and Liam Dawson none of the other batsmen did well. The likes of Aneurin Donald, Sam Northeast, and Chris Morris will have to do well in the next game for the side to win. It was a great bowling effort from Liam Dawson and Mason Crane in the last game. Chris Wood also bowled well and having Kyle Abbott and Morris in the attack the side looks really strong

Prediction for Kent Spitfires vs Hampshire

Kent Spitfires have been in great form this season and they are playing at home and have clear edge over Hampshire.
