Squad Comparison

Jade Dernbach would have been extremely happy with his side pulling off a thriller against Kent Spitfires in the last game. The one-run win was surely one of their best performances in what has otherwise been a poor season for them. The top order including Will Jacks, Mark Stoneman, Sam Curran and Ollie Pope set up a win but it was Will Jacks who played one of the best knocks of the season to push the score high. Bowling effort was slightly poor though and apart from Curran and Dernbach other bowlers went for runs. The side would hope for a better show with the ball from Jordan Clarke and Imran Tahir in the next game.

It was an impressive win for Tom Abell’s side in the last game against Glamorgan where they were good with the bat and the ball. They are currently placed in the 4th spot in the South Group points table and would like to book their berth in the quarter-finals with a win in the next game. Batting is looking strong for the side with Tom Banton, Babar Azam and James Hildreth looking good at the top. Abell and Edward Byrom also look good going into the next match. Max Waller and Jerome Taylor were brilliant with the ball in the last game and they would look for support from Craig Overton, Tim Groenewald and Roelof van der Merwe in the next game.

Our Prediction for Surrey vs Somerset

Going by the form we have seen from the two teams so far Somerset would be favourites to win this one.

Squad Comparison

Durham Jets

It was a bad show from the Jets led by Peter Handscomb in the last game against Yorkshire Vikings where they failed to chase a score of 147 runs to win. The team has lost its chance of making it to the next round due to poor performances. D’Arcy Short and Scott Steel played well at the top but there was hardly any support from others. Handscomb, Harry Adair, Graham Clark and Gareth Harte shall have to contribute with the bat in the next game for the side to win. Nathan Rimmington and Scott Steel bowled well in the last game and Matty Potts was also good. Brydon Carse and Liam Trevaskis have to improve their show with the ball going into the next game.

Birmingham Bears

Jeetan Patel’s team lost another game in what has been a poor season for them. They went down against Northamptonshire Steelbacks by 4 wickets in what was an otherwise competitive game. It was batting failure at the top that cost them the game. Sam Hain and Matthew Lamb played poorly and will have to contribute in the next game. Adam Hose, Will Rhodes and Chris Green batted well towards the end of the innings. Dominic Sibley will also have to push the scoring rate at the start of the innings. Alex Thompson was good with the ball and Green too bowled well but the side would want to see better effort from Oliver Hannon-Dalby, Henry Brookes and Patel going into the next game.

Our Prediction for Durham Jets vs Birmingham Bears

Durham Jets have done relatively better and playing in their own backyard they would be favourites to win this one.
