Squad Comparison

Middlesex

Dawid Malan’s side suffered a big loss against Hampshire in the last game where they batted extremely poorly to put only 128 runs on the board. Malan, Mohammad Hafeez, and Eoin Morgan got starts but failed to convert them into big scores. They will need to score big in the next game and expect good support from Paul Stirling, Stephen Eskinazi and John Simpson. Toby Roland-Jones was good with the ball in the last game but others failed to offer him support. The bowling unit including Tom Helm and Nathan Sowter has otherwise done well in the season and shall look to put up a strong performance in the next game.

Sussex Sharks

Luke Wright’s side which has been undefeated in the first half of the tournament seems to have lost form. In the last game against Essex Eagles, the side went down by 9 runs. It was a poor show with the bat from the top order where other than Laurie Evans and David Wiese none of the others stood their ground. The side would want to see better batting from Phillip Salt, Wright, Alex Carey and Harry Finch in the next game. Will Bear bowled well and so did Reece Topley but others failed to deliver. Chris Jordan and Jason Behrendorff shall have to bowl well with the new ball in the next game for the side to win.

Our Prediction for Middlesex vs Sussex Sharks

Middlesex playing at home would be tough to beat and they would start nose ahead of Sussex Sharks in the next game.

Squad Comparison

Somerset

Tom Abell’s side looks in good form at the moment. They had a bad start to the season but have won the last three games that they have played. This would do a world of good to the confidence of the side. The batting looks good at the moment with Abell and Tom Banton being in good form. With players like Babar Azam, James Hildreth, and Edward Byrom in the squad, they would go into the next game with confidence. Their bowling attack also looks good with Jerome Taylor, Max Waller, and Craig Overton having done well in the last few games. Roelof van der Merwe and Tom Lammonby shall need to offer them good support in the next game.

Glamorgan

It has been a season of losses and poor form for Colin Ingram’s team. They are at the bottom of the points table in the South Group and haven’t been able to register a single win so far. The team looks short on confidence at the moment. Having a strong batting unit comprising of Fakhar Zaman, Shaun Marsh, Ingram, and David Lloyd hasn’t helped their cause. These four would need to play out of their skins for the side to win the next game. Their bowlers have also failed throughout the season and it would require a herculean effort from Daniel Douthwaite, Marchant de Lange, and Lukas Carey to turn the tables in the next game.

Our Prediction for Somerset vs Glamorgan

Somerset is way ahead of Glamorgan in terms of their form and playing at home they would be expected to win this one.
