Squad Comparison

The last game against Essex Eagles was washed away by rain. But Dawid Malan’s side has done relatively well in the South Group league games so far and look on track to earn a place in the quarterfinals for the season. Their batsmen have delivered with Malam and Paul Stirling having looked rock solid at the top of the order. In the middle order, they have quality stroke makers in Eoin Morgan, Stephen Eskinazi and George Scott. The bowlers have also lived up to their reputation with Toby Roland-Jones and Mujeeb ur Rahman looking in great form. With Steven Finn returning to form the side would be confident about its bowling attack.

Before their last game against Surrey was washed away by rain James Vince’s side looked in terrible form as they lost three consecutive games. The side is nearly out of contention of making it to the next round of the tournament. They will want their batsmen to deliver in the next game. Aneurin Donald and Vince need to bat well at the top and the skipper would expect good performances from Sam Northeast, Liam Dawson and Chris Morris. Their bowlers have disappointed this season and they would need good performances from Kyle Abbott, Morris, Ryan Stevenson and Chris Wood. They would be up against a strong batting line-up and need to bowl really well in the next game.

Our Prediction for Middlesex vs Hampshire

Middlesex has done well so far in the season and they would be playing at home and start ahead of Hampshire in the game.

Squad Comparison

Sussex Sharks

Their last game against Kent Spitfires was washed away by rain. Prior to that Luke Wright’s side have had a great campaign this season. They have lost just one game so far against Surrey. The batting is looking good for the team as their openers Phillip Salt and Wright have been in great form. In the middle order Laurie Evans, Alex Carey and David Wiese have also made runs in the season which makes them a tough side to bowl at. In the bowling department, Wiese and Chris Jordan have looked in a good rhythm. Tymal Mills has also done well. Having Rashid Khan in the side adds strength to their bowling attack.

Essex Eagles

Simon Harmer’s team has seen rain interruptions in the last three games. The season hasn’t gone quite to their liking so far as the team has managed only two wins and lost four games. It is their batting which has been a big let-down as most of their players including Cameron Delport, Daniel Lawrence, Adam Wheater and Tom Westley haven’t been able to carry their form and looked good in patches. They will need to play well against the strong bowling attack that Sussex has. Mohammad Amir hasn’t delivered with the ball which has pulled back the strings for the side and he has to pick early wickets. Aaron Beard and Paul Walter shall need to offer him good support going into this game.

Our Prediction for Sussex Sharks vs Essex Eagles

Sussex Sharks are in great form going into this game and playing at home they would be favourites to win this one.
