Durham Jets

Stuart Poynter’s side overcame the challenge posed by Derbyshire Falcons in the last game to register a 7 run win bringing an end to their losing spree. Scott Steel and D’Arcy Short played well at the top for the side. Peter Handscomb has also looked good so far in the season. With Alex Lees, Graham Clark and Jack Burnham they have a good batting unit in place. Liam Trevakis bowled well in the last and Scot Steel and Brydon Carse also kept the line tight. With Short and Nathan Rimmington in the bowling attack they would look to trouble the Outlaws’ batsmen.

Notts Outlaws

Daniel Christian’s team won an impressive game against Birmingham Bears. Cut short by rain the side chased down the score clinically to regain some confidence after it had started the season poorly. Joe Clarke, Alex Hales and Ben Duckett batted well in the game to take their side over the finishing line. Jake Ball, Samit Patel, Daniel Christian and Tom Moores add strength to their batting line-up. It was a brilliant bowling performance from Luke Wood, Matthew Carter and Imad Wasim in the last game. Samit Patel also bowled well and they would look to carry the same form into the next game.

Our Prediction for Durham Jets vs Notts Outlaws

The bowling attack for Notts Outlaws is looking strong and this shall make them favourites in the next game.

Worcestershire Rapids

It was a bad day at the office for Callum Ferguson’s team in the last game against Leicestershire Foxes. They batted poorly in the game to lose by a margin of 33 runs. The side has otherwise played well in this edition of the contest. Ben Cox was the only player who stood his ground in the game. The side would expect better show from Martin Guptill, Riki Wessels and Callum Ferguson in the next game. Wayne Parnell and Ross Whitely will need to do some hitting towards the end. Parnell had a brilliant day with the ball and so did Ed Barnard in the last game. Patrick Brown and Dillon Pennington need to offer good support to them in the next game.

Northamptonshire Steelbacks

Rains affected the last game against Leicestershire Foxes. But Joshua Cobb would have been happy with the performance his bowlers put up in the game after the poor performances they have had in the season. Cobb, Faheem Ashraf and Ben Sanderson bowled well in the game. Dwaine Pretorious was also spot-on with his line. Their batsmen haven’t had the best of times and would be looking to do well in the next game. Richard Levi and Adam Rossington will need to provide the side with a good start in the game and the likes of Joshua Cobb, Alex Wakely, Dwaine Pretorius and Tom Sole will need to score runs in the middle.

Our Prediction for Worcestershire Rapids vs Northamptonshire Steelbacks

Worcestershire Rapids play at home and have done well in their home ground and this shall make them favourites in the next game.

Birmingham Bears

Jeetan Patel’s side has going through a phase of struggle at the moment. They lost out against Notts Outlaws in the last game, their fourth consecutive loss for the reason. It was a batting failure that cost them the game. Sam Hain and Dominic Sibley batted well but no other batsman was able to reach the double digit mark. In the next game Michael Burgess, Will Rhodes, Adam Hose and Chris Green will have to come up with better performance with the bat against a strong line-up that Lancashire have. Green and Patel bowled well in the last game and it was good show from Oliver Hannon-Dalby. Fidel Edwards will need to pick wickets early for the side to win.

Lancashire Lightning

Their last game against Yorkshire Viking was washed away by rain. They have looked one of the best teams in the tournament and mid-way through it they are still undefeated. Against Notts Outlaws in their last concluded game the side has done well. Dane Vilas and Glenn Maxwell stitched a match winning partnership after a collapse of the top order. Having Liam Livingstone, Alex Davies and Steven Croft in the line-up makes them strong. James Faulkner and Josh Bohannon have good hitting abilities towards the end. Livingstone and Matthew Parkinson have done well with the ball this season and Maxwell has also looked good. The side would want to see better show from Faulkner who has had a bad season with the ball so far.

Our Prediction for Birmingham Bears vs Lancashire Lighting

Lancashire Lighting is in great form and they would definitely start as favourites in the next game.

Middlesex

Dawid Malan’s team suffered a bad loss in the last game against Sussex Sharks. It was against the run of form as the side has done well in the season so far.  It was a complete batting failure that saw them going down. Stephen Eskinazi and Toby Roland-Jones towards the end batted well but others failed to live up to the challenge. Malam, Paul Stirling and Dan Lincoln will need to bowl well in the next game for the side to register a win. Toby Roland-Jones and Nathan Sowter bowled well while Mujeeb ur Rahman had a bad day. Steven Finn’s poor form continues and he has to gain form as the side enters an important phase in the tournament.

Gloucestershire

Michael Klinger’s side is finally showing some good performance. They won against Surrey in the last game, their second consecutive win and third one for the season. It was a good performance with the bat where Miles Hammond, James Bracey and Ian Cockbain did well in the last game. Klinger, Ryan Higgins and Jack Taylor will expect to bat well in the next game for the side to win the contest against a good team. David Payne bowled well and was supported by Tom Smith. Andrew Tye again went for runs and the side have to bowl well against the strong batting line-up that Middlesex have.

Prediction for Middlesex vs Gloucestershire

Middlesex are playing at home and have a strong batting line-up which will make them favourites in the next game.

Squad Comparison

Glamorgan

It was a wash-out in their last game against Essex Eagles. But Colin Ingram’s side is in a tight spot at the moment. They haven’t won a single game so far and have been struggling with their batting as well as bowling. Their previous game against Sussex resulted in a loss. David Lloyd has looked in good form but rest of the batting that includes Ingram, Fakhar Zaman, Kiran Carlson and Jeremy Lawlor will have to put price on their wicket in the next game. Bowling performance has also been ordinary so far. Marchant de Lange, Michael Hogan and Lukas Carey shall have to pick early wickets in the next game.

Surrey

Jade Dernbach back as captain couldn’t change the fate of his side as they went down against Gloucestershire in the last game. The side has so far registered only a single win and are looking in terrible shape. Sam Curran batted well in the last game. They have good strength in their batting order with Will Jacks, Aaron Finch and Ollie Pope in the line-up and these players will need to play to their potential in the next game. Dernbach will need to lead the bowling attack with passion and expect Sam Curran and Tom Curran to support him well in the game. Imran Tahir will need to control things in the middle for the side to win.

Prediction for

Middlesex are playing at home and have a strong batting line-up which will make them favourites in the next game.

Squad Comparison

Yorkshire Vikings

Tom Kohler-Cadmore saw the last game washed away by rain against Lancashire Lighting. The side isn’t in the best of form at the moment. Tom Kohler-Cadmore, David Willey and Adam Lyth will have to bat well at the top for the side to do well. The likes of Gary Balance, Harry Brooks and Jonathan Tattersall need to put a price on their wicket as they have just been getting out to needless shots. In the bowling department the skipper would rest his hopes on trio of Tim Bresnen, Dominic Bess and Jordan Thompson. They have given away too many runs and need to check in in the next game.

Derbyshire Falcons

Billy Godleman’s side lost a highly competitive game against Durham Jets. The skipper would be upset with how his side has played as they find themselves in the bottom of the table for the North Group. A good start while chasing was wasted in the last game. Godleman and Wayne Madsen batted well and there was good show from Fynn Hudson-Prentice towards the end of the innings. The likes of Luis Reece at the top and Leus du Pooly and Mathew Critchely towards the end need to do well. Critchely and Ravi Rampaul bowled well and they would need good support from Logan van Beek and Boyd Rankin in the next game.

Prediction for Yorkshire Vikings vs Derbyshire Falcons

Yorkshire Vikings look better of the two sides and playing at home they would be favourites in the game.
