Mzansi 30th Match Squads Comparison

Tshwane Spartans

AB de Villiers’ team were blown away by Jozi Stars in their previous game. This coming on the back of two consecutive wins where the side which is packed with some of the best players in this format played to its potential. The result of the last game summarized the form the team has shown in most games this season where they have failed to keep up with the challenge and play to their abilities. With nothing left to loose in the last game de Villiers would hope his side puts up a spirited show in front of their home crowd and finish the season on a high.

Andrea Agathangelou hasn’t been in the best form this season while his partner Gihahn Cloete has been the best batsman for the side. The middle order has some of the best batsmen in the format with de Villiers, Dean Elgar and Eoin Morgan who need to fire for the side to win. Tony de Zorzi has been doing well in the finishers’ role. As far as their bowling goes Lutho Sipamla and Shaun von Berg had a forgettable outing in the last game and they would need to perform better than that in the next one. Jeevan Mendis has been brilliant throughout the season and the second highest wicket taker and he would like to do well one last time.

Durban Heat

Keshav Maharaj who is leading in absence of Albie Morkel would like to end the season on the right note and have something to cheer about in the last game. They have been though a rough patch winning only two out of their nine games. They have failed with the bat and the ball in most games barring their last win against Cape Town Blitz which offered a glimpse of the capabilities the team had. Maharaj would like his men to take inspiration from their last performance and bring curtains to what has otherwise been an unremarkable show. They have quality mix of players and they would like to prove their metal in what is an inconsequential game.

In terms of their batting Morne van Wyk played a good knock in the last game but Sarel Erwee has struggled and would like to do well in the next game. Hashim Amla’s form at the top has hurt the side in the tournament but the great men might be due for a good one. Khaya Zondo, David Miller and Heinrich Klaasen form a strong middle order but they have failed to fire and would like to make amends and end the season on a high. In the bowling department Kyle Abbott has looked good on occasions but has the potential to fire. In Rashid Khan and Keshav Maharaj they have two good spinners who have the skills to put their team on the winning side in the upcoming game.

Our Prediction for Tshwane Spartans vs Durban Heat 30th Match

Tshwane Spartans will win this game

The last game of Mzansi Super League 2018 is inconsequential in the context of the tournament. Both Tshwane Spartans and Durban Heat have had an unremarkable tournament, one that they would like to keep behind next season. However this contest at SuperSport Park, Centurion would be all about pride and how they finish things off in a season where they failed to qualify for the play-offs. It will nonetheless be an interesting contest between two of the most talented sides in the tournament. With power hitters on both the sides the crowds at Centurion are in for a ball in the upcoming game.

Tshwane Spartans have a better batting line-up and they would start as favourites as they play at their home ground in the next match.
