CPL 2019 3rd Match Squad Comparison

Trinbago Knight Riders

Kieron Pollard captaining the side in absence of injured Dwayne Bravo led them to an impressive win against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the opening game of the season. The defending champions who struggled with the bat at the top put up a decent score in the end and bowled superbly towards the end to earn their first points for the season. Pollard would want his batsmen to improve their performance in the next game where they take on Jamaica Tallawahs against whom they have shared good rivalry over the last two seasons.

Openers Lendl Simmons and Sunil Narine had a bad outing in the last game and they will be hoping to do well in the next game. Tion Webster also went out cheaply and shall be looking to do well in the upcoming game. The middle-order did well with James Neesham, Denesh Ramdin and the skipper Pollard playing well. They will be hoping to continue with their good show in the next game. Khary Pierre and Mohammad Hasnain bowled well at the top and Neesham also picked up important wickets. Narine bowled a tight line applying pressure on the opponents and shall look to continue with the same form.

Jamaica Tallawahs

Andre Russell is leading a strong unit going into this game. He would like to put behind the failure of last season where the side finished 4th even though they looked good in most of the games. Being the first game of the season the side would be looking to make a positive start against the best team in the tournament. The side has been further strengthened with the inclusion of Chris Gayle in the squad. They have good balance both in terms of their batting as well as bowling and would be looking to make a strong impression in the next game.

Chris Gayle at the top adds a new dimension to the batting line-up and he would be expected to fire in the company of Glenn Phillips. They have a strong middle order going into this game that includes the likes of Xavier Marshall, George Worker, and Rovman Powell. With Andre Russell and Imran Khan in the finishers’ role, the batting looks strong. Oshane Thomas and Zahir Khan will look to do well with the new ball for the side. Amad Butt, Worker and Russell complete a strong bowling unit for the side going into this game

Our Prediction for Trinbago Knight Riders vs Jamaica Tallawahs

Trinbago Knight Riders would win this game

The 3rd match of the Caribbean Premier League 2019 between Trinbago Knight Riders and Jamaica Tallawahs at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain would be eagerly watched given the kind of rivalry the two sides have shared over the years. In the last two seasons, they have won a game each and lost the other. Both the sides are packed with quality players with some big hitters being part of both the squad. It will be a battle of ego and the crowds are likely to have a great time watching the teams go hard at one another.

Trinbago Knight Riders have a more balanced unit and this would put them nose ahead of the Jamaica Tallawahs going into this game.
