A stern test for Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham as they welcome champions Manchester City to their home away from home.
Predictions
Spurs were able to see off West Ham without ever hitting top gear and although they are not getting the same kind of headlines as the top three, they are still keeping in contention for a Champions League spot at least. But Tottenham will need to be on top form if they are to stop Manchester City in this one.
Last time out City scored five against Burnley – but it could have been much more. Spurs pose a different prospect for Pep Guardiola’s men but with the talent they have in their squad they always seem to be confident that they can come away with three more points.
Tottenham face a tough month with seven games in 21 days – including pivotal Champions League fixtures. The fans have become accustomed to top four finishes but with a resurgent Arsenal snapping at their heels – and Chelsea, Liverpool and City all unbeaten – they will need to keep consistent over the next three weeks to ensure that they are involved in continental competition next season as well.
Although Manchester City are still unbeaten this season they have dropped points away from home – at Wolves and Liverpool – and Pochettino will hope that his defensive unit can keep out the goal threats of Agüero, Sané and Sterling while his forward players do their job at the other end of the pitch. If Spurs get their tactics right they could grab a 1-1 draw.

Betting Tips
- Draw
Betting against a City win is always filled with risk but Spurs do have attacking talent of their own and if the defenders play to their abilities the home side could nick a point.
- Both teams to score
It seems unlikely that with some of the best players in the world on show that there won’t be goals in this game.
