CPL Match 9 Squad Comparison

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots

It has been a poor start to the season for Carlos Brathwaite’s side as they have gone down in both the games so far. The last one against Guyana Amazon Warriors was a bad outing as the team suffered a demoralizing 8-wicket loss. The side already is showing signs of struggle with their key players not looking in great form. This is something that would have to guard against going into the next game. Brathwaite would take heart from the fact that his side played well against the Tallawahs in the last season and would like to win the game and earn their first points for the season.

Kjorn Ottley and Evin Lewis form a good opening pair but they have struggled so far. This is something they will need to fix ahead of the next game. Devon Thomas looks good in the middle order but the side would expect a better show from Mohammad Hafeez and Brathwaite in the next game as they have failed so far. Fabian Allen is good in the finisher’s role and has played well so far. Sheldon Cottrell looks in good form with the ball. Allen has also bowled well so far but other bowlers seem to be struggling. The side would expect a better show with the ball from Rayad Emrit, Carlos Brathwaite and Usama Mir as they haven’t been in the best of form and leaked runs.

Jamaica Tallawahs

Andre Russell’s side suffered a defeat in their first game against defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders where they went down by 22 runs. It was a poor effort with the ball that led to the side’s downfall in the game. Russell would want his side to recover from the loss as they go into this game. He would be banking on the strength that his side has with the bat where they look one of the strongest batting line-ups in the season. He would want to set the perfect tone for the rest of the season with a win in the upcoming game.

Chris Gayle and Glenn Phillips form a very strong opening combination for the side. Gayle who got a start in the last game would be looking to make this opportunity count. Chadwick Walton and Rovman Powell form a good pair in the middle. The side has great strength in the lower order with George Worker and Andre Russell and both the players had a good hit in the last game. The bowlers will have to do a complete turnaround in the next game. Oshane Thomas, Christopher Lamont and Jerome Taylor shall need to check the flow of runs early in the next game. Russell and Sharmar Spinger will need to support them well.

Our Prediction for SNP vs JT

Jamaica Tallawahs would win this game

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots will play their first home game of the 2019 Caribbean Premier League where they take on Jamaica Tallawahs at the Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts. Both the teams have so far failed to win a game in the season with the hosts having lost both their games so far. The hosts are in a spot of bother at the moment as they have lost both their game and seem to be struggling. This will make the game interesting as both Patriots and Tallawahs would press for a win.

According to betting sites in India, the Jamaica Tallawahs will start as favorites having a strong batting line-up.
