Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka PredictionDasun Shanaka’s problems continue as his side suffered another loss owing to a batting collapse. The side made a mess of what could have been a good chase. This has now become a perennial problem for the side and most of their batsmen went out playing poor strokes in the last game. Shanaka would want his players to put this poor performance behind them as they play the next game. They would need a good start at the top and expend new ball bowlers to trouble the South Africans which they failed to do in the last game.

The side would like to see a strong start from Avishka Fernando and Dinesh Chandimal with the latter having played well in the last game. It is the middle order which has to deliver in this game as runs would be expected from the bat of Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Charith Asalanka, and Shanaka. Down the order, the likes of Wanidu Hasaranga, Dhananjaya de Silva and Chamika Karunaratne would need to make their contributions with the bat. Dhananjaya de Silva and Dushmantha Chameera bowled poorly at the start and a better show would be expected from them. In Maheesh Theekshana, Akila Dhananjaya, and Hasaranga the side has good depth in its bowling and a better show would be expected from these players.

South Africa

South Africa Betting Tips & Predictions
It was a clinical show from Keshav Maharaj’s side in the last game. Batting first they put up a decent score on a tough wicket and defended it successfully never allowing the hosts to make a comeback into the game. The victory saw contributions from most of their key players and this would have surely made the skipper happy. Maharaj would like to go for the kill in the second game and register a series win. He would know that the Sri Lankans would be under pressure and expect his players to exploit this opportunity and earn their first series win on Lankan soil since 2013.

Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendricks did well opening the batting in the last game, and they would aim to provide another convincing start in this game. In the middle order, Aiden Markram looks in good form and needs to build partnerships with David Miller and Heinrich Klaasen. The side would need Dwaine Pretorius and Kagiso Rabada to do the big-hitting towards the end of the innings. Bjorn Fortuin and Anrich Nortje shall have to bowl tight spells at the top to put the Sri Lankans into trouble. Maharaj bowled tight spells, but the side would like to see a better show from Tabraiz Shamsi who was expensive in the last game. Pretorius add to the bowling options for the side.

Our Prediction for Sri Lanka vs South Africa

South Africa shall win the game

It was yet another batting collapse for Sri Lanka in the 1st T20. This has become more of a norm than an exception for the side in the last couple of years. They would have to get over this problem to do well here. The side would have to play the spinners well and expect a better show from their new-ball bowlers. South Africans would be high on confidence after their good show in the last game. Their batting looks good and so does the bowling. With Sri Lanka likely to fight hard we expect this to be a good game.

South Africans have momentum on their side and a batting line-up that is in good form, and this would put them slightly ahead of South Africa in this game.
