SPAL vs Juventus: Predictions, Betting Tips & Odds
SPAL welcome league leaders Juventus to the Stadio Paolo Mazza for their Serie A round 32 game this Saturday.
SPAL lost 2-1 away to Cagliari on the weekend and that loss ended a run of three wins in a row – the Biancazzurri have won eight times in the league so far this season, scoring 13 times while conceding just three goals in those eight games.
Juventus beat Milan 2-1 in the Allianz Stadium last Saturday thanks to a penalty tucked away by Paulo Dybala and a late Moise Kean goal – Milan can feel hard done by as after they had taken an early lead through Krzysztof Piatek, they were denied a stone wall penalty for an Alex Sandro handball in the box. Kean however scored his fifth goal in as many games both club and country.
SPAL held the champions to a goalless draw in this fixture last season and will be keen to repeat that performance as they battle relegation – top goal scorer Andrea Petagna has 12 league goals to his name this season and will probably return to the starting line up after coming off the bench in the loss to Cagliari.
Juventus have a Champions League Quarter-Final double header with old rivals Ajax coming up and there could be the possibility that they will rotate players in for this game. At least a draw in this game would see the Old Lady lift their eighth consecutive Scudetto in a row. A 2-1 win for Juventus is a likely score line.
Juventus to win 2-1
Juventus have lost just once in Serie A this season and show no sign of letting up as they march to an eighth league win in a row.
Total goals over 2.5
Juventus rarely rack up the goals in their away games, scoring more than two goals in just three of their 15 road matches this season and that could be why the bookies are offering odds for the over 2.5 goals scored market.

Head to Head
In the past three meetings between these sides since SPAL returned to the top flight after a year absence Juventus have won their two home fixtures while the only game played at the Stadio Paolo Mazza ended as a draw.
- SPAL have won their last two home games in a row over both Roman sides – a 2-1 win over Roma was followed up by a 1-0 victory over Lazio. Those two wins were their first since September however and they have lost five games at home in total while drawing the other six.
- Juventus have lost just once away from home in Serie A this season which was a 2-0 loss to Genoa and dropped points in just one other match when drawing 2-2 with Atalanta.
- SPAL will be looking to extend their stay in Serie A for another year and make it three consecutive seasons in the top flight.
- Juventus are on the hunt for a first Champions League win since beating upcoming opponents Ajax on penalties in 1996 and will probably be more focused on that than this game.
