ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers Match 24 Squad Comparison

After two consecutive wins that saw them defeat a much stronger Scotland in their first game of the tournament, Amjad Mahboob’s side suffered the first loss of the tournament against the Netherlands. The skipper would have been upset with the manner in which his side lost the game getting bowled out for 101 runs and losing the game by 5 wickets. Their bowlers did put up a fight but there was never enough on the scoreboard to defend. As they play Kenya in the next game the side would be counting its chances as Kenya hasn’t played well so far and look for its third win.

At the top Tim David and Surendran Chandramohan have done well and shall look to provide the side with a good start. Aritra Dutta is also looking good but the rest of the batsmen failed in the last game. The likes of Manpreet Singh, Navin Param, and Janak Prakash have good skills and shall look to utilize that in the next game. Sidhant Singh and Vinoth Baskaran will look to put their hitting abilities to good use in the next game. Bowling attack is looking good with Selladore Vijayakumar, Aahan Gopinath Archar and Janak Prakash looking in good form. They would need a good start from Amjad Mahboob in the game to win it.

Shem Ngoche would be a relieved man. After two consecutive losses against Netherlands and Scotland, the side was able to win its first game in the tournament against Bermuda. They batted decently to put up a mediocre total on the board and their bowlers did a splendid job to defend it and earn a 46 run victory in the game. Ngoche would want a better show from his side in the next game as they would be up against Singapore which has done well so far in the competition.

Openers Alex Obanda and Irfan Karim didn’t make much of contribution in the last game and shall look to do well in the next one. Dhiren Gondaria impressed in the last game with a match-winning knock of 85 runs. The middle-order comprising of Collins Obuya, Rushab Patel and Rakep Patel will need to play well in the next game as they have had a quiet tournament so far. On the bowling front, Elijah Otieno and Shem Ngoche bowled well in the last game. Collins Obuya also impressed but was a bit expensive. With Lucus Oluoch and Rakep Patel in the side, bowling looks impressive.

Our Prediction for Singapore vs Kenya

Singapore would win this game

Singapore has impressed so far in the 2019 edition of the Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers. Though the side lost the last game against Netherlands they have a good mix of players who look hungry for success. Their opponents Kenya, on the other hand, come into this game after winning the last one against Bermuda after two consecutive losses. This win would have boosted the confidence level in the Kenyan camp. The game is expected to be a competitive one with exciting players in both the teams.

Singapore looks in good form at the moment and has a strong batting line-up. This would make them favorites for the next game.
