Peru vs Brazil: Predictions, Betting Tips & Odds

Copa America 2019 Peru vs Brazil
Peru vs Brazil Copa America 2019, Corinthians Arena, Group A

This is the final group game for the hosts as Brazil welcome Peru to Sao Paulo looking for another three points to keep them at the top of Group A.

Predictions

Peru picked up a point in a somewhat lacklustre opening game against Venezuela. Both sides will expect to beat Bolivia so goal difference could be all-important now. The betting sites favour a Brazil victory here but if Peru could snatch another draw it would give them an excellent chance of progressing to the last eight.

Brazil will have been expected to have won another three points from their second group game against Venezuela before taking on Peru. The two wins will probably be enough to win the group – but another victory here will keep the fans on their side – as well as assure an easier tie in the quarter finals.

Peru enjoyed a mixed set of warm up games before the Copa America kicked off. A narrow win over Costa Rica was followed by a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Colombia – and those results will not have filled the nation with confidence ahead of a tough group. The bookies do not feel that Peru can get anything out of this game against Brazil and much will hinge on their game against Bolivia.

Although Brazil eased past Bolivia in their first group game there was a definite feeling that a Selecao with a fully fit Neymar would be in a much better position to win this year’s Copa America. The group stage should not cause the hosts too much problem though and this could finish 2-0 to Tite’s side.

Betting Tips

This should be another victory for Brazil – and considering they are looking good defensively at the moment.

Brazil should have this group all wrapped up by the time this fixture comes around so don’t expect too much unnecessary exertion.
