Jamie Vardy scored once again as Leicester’s fantastic run of form continued against Arsenal – and that was enough to install the England international as the new favourite for the Golden Boot. Tammy Abraham and Mo Salah also managed to find the net to keep them in the hunt for the prize. Former favourite Sergio Aguero came up short at Anfield once again though. 1. Jamie Vardy – It was thought that Vardy would move after Leicester’s stunning title win a few years ago – but he has stayed at the club that gave him a chance and has decided to repay them in goals. 2. Sergio Aguero – Manchester City have more than enough strikers to choose from but Aguero has a habit of regularly getting on the score sheet. 3. Tammy Abraham – With Chelsea unable to bring in any new players this summer Abraham is set to be given a chance to show how good he really is. 4. Mo Salah – Last year’s joint winner looks to be a good bet for repeating his triumph this year. 5. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – The Arsenal striker looks hungry for goals once again this season but does attract very attractive odds. 6. Harry Kane – The England captain remains one of the favourites with the bookies. 7. Raheem Sterling – The Manchester City attacker has grown in confidence since the beginning of last season and looks like he will be in the running this year. 8. Sadio Mane – Liverpool are another team that have a few options when it comes to strikers. But Mane is usually good for a goal or two. 9. Marcus Rashford – If Manchester United score then it is usually likely that the young England international will be involved in some way. 10. Callum Wilson – The Bournemouth striker has overcome a number of injuries over the last few years to look like a good outside bet for the Golden Boot.
