ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers Match 22 Squad Comparison

Namibia

Gerhard Erasmus’ side ended its two-match losing streak and registered a convincing 24 run win over Scotland in the last game. The win would have given the side a lot of confidence as it came against one of the best sides in the tournament. Before this game, the side had gone down against the Netherlands and Papua New Guinea. Gerhard would now want his team to continue with the same form in the next game knowing that Bermuda is struggling at the moment. A win in the next game would put them in a better position in the points table.

At the top of the order, the side is still struggling with form. Stephan Baard failed in the last game and shall look to provide his side with a good start in the next one. Niko Davin will look to convert his start and so would Jean-Pierre Kotze. In the middle order, the side looks strong at the moment with Craig Williams, Gerhard Erasmus and JJ Smit in good form. They will look to steer the innings in the next game. The bowling attack looks good at the moment with Jan Frylinck and Christi Viljoen in good form. JJ Smith and Williams are also bowling well. The side would be looking for a better show from Ben Shikongo in the next game.

Bermuda

It’s going down the barrels for Dion Stovell’s side at the moment. They have lost all the three games they have played so far and haven’t looked to be in competition in any one of those. They went down against Kenya by 46 runs in the last game getting bundled out for 92 runs their second score below the 100 run mark in three games. The batting line-up looks jittery at the moment and this is something the side would be looking to work out as they meet Namibia in the next game.

Batting looks in horrible state at the moment for the side with the top 3 comprising of Okera Bascome, Terryn Fray and Dion Stovell not being able to contribute much. They will need to fire in the next game for the side to win. The middle-order comprising Delray Rawlins and Janeiro Tucker has done well and they will need to steer the innings in the next game for the side and hope to see some contributions from the lower order batsmen. George O’Brien has bowled well and so has Kamau Leverock. The side would want to see better bowling efforts from the likes of Delray Rawlins and Stovell in the next game

Our Prediction for Namibia vs Bermuda

Namibia would win this game

Namibia registered an impressive win against Scotland in their last game of the ongoing 2019 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers and shall now play Bermuda in the next game with the aim of registering their second win. Bermuda has had a miserable campaign so far and shall look to earn its first points for the tournament. The batting order has been in shambles for the side and needs to pull up its socks to win the game. Namibia fresh from its win would look to dominate the proceedings in the next game and move up on the points table.

Namibia looks in better form at the moment out of the two teams and this would make them favorites for the next game.
