IPL Match 31 Squad Comparison
Rohit Sharma’s team has done well in the season despite their loss against Rajasthan Royals in the last game. It was a nail biter where the Mumbai bowlers nearly pulled off an impressive win with some tight bowling towards the end. All said and done they have looked one of the better sides in the season where their batsmen have dominated opposition attacks. They had won a close game against the RCB earlier in the season and this would give them confidence going into this game. A win for Mumbai would take them close to the play-offs and the skipper would want to win at their home ground in the next game.
Mumbai’s openers Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma are going through a purple patch and have done well so far in the tournament and would be eager to provide their team with a good start. Suryakumar Yadav, Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya make a strong middle order with Pollard having already shown his worth in a couple of games. In Krunal Pandya and Ishan Kishan they have good finishers making their batting look formidable. Jasprit Bumrah has been at his best this season and so has Jason Behrendorff. Alzarri Joseph hasn’t done well in the last few games but overall they have a decent bowling attack with Krunal, Hardik and Rahul Chahar in the side.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
It was finally a moment of relief for Virat Kohli as his side was able to register a win against the Kings XI in the last game. This ended the drought for the side after they had registered the unremarkable record of losing six straight games since the start of the season. The skipper has been at the receiving end of criticism in the recent weeks and this win has got a monkey off his back. As they take on the Mumbai Indians in the next game Virat would want his side to play with the same kind of positive intent and win this one.
The side has a good opening combination in Parthiv Patel and Virat Kohli and the former has looked in good form this season. With AB de Villiers and Marcus Stoinis to follow they have great hitters of the cricket ball and it was good to see these guys return to form in the last game. Moeen Ali, Akshdeep Nath and Pawan Negi complete a good batting line-up. The problems for the side has been in its bowling line-up as Yuzvendra Chahal and Moeen Ali are the only two bowlers who have been consistent in the season. Umesh Yadav, Navdeep Saini and Mohammed Siraj will need to keep the line tight if they have to do well against a strong Mumbai batting line-up.
Our Prediction for MI vs RCB
Mumbai Indians shall win this game.
It is for the first time in Indian Premier League
2019 that the Royal Challengers Bangalore would go into a game with a win behind them. The side has been through a rough patch in the first three weeks of the season. As they take on the Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium it won’t be an easy task. Mumbai have registered four wins in their seven games and are looking a good side with great batting and a well-balanced bowling attack. It will be interesting to see of the RCB are able to win this game or Mumbai defend their home fort.
It is going to be a tough challenge for the Royal Challengers as Mumbai Indians look a better team at the moment and would be favorites to win this one.
