IPL Match 35 Squad Comparison

Kolkata Knight Riders

It has been a bad run for Dinesh Karthik’s side as they have lost their last three games, two of which they could have easily won. Their last games loss against the CSK would have hurt the side as they failed to capitalize on the great start they got and made only 28 in the last five overs. The team has got off to a great start in the season but has done poorly in the last few games. Karthik would be confident with the fact that they had defeated RCB earlier in the season and would look forward to repeating that success in front of their home crowd.

Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine form a formidable opening pair for the side and they have done well in the tournament. The pair would be looking forward to giving a good start to the side in the next game. Nitish Rana, Robin Uthappa and Karthik form a formidable middle order and they will need to avoid the mistakes from the last game. In Andre Russell they have the best finisher in the tournament. It is their bowling that is giving headaches to the side. Prasidh Krishna, Harry Gurney and Andre Russell are leaking too many runs. While Sunil Narine and Kuldeep Yadav have bowled well that’s about it for the KKR bowling and they will need to bowl well as a unit to win the next game.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Their win against the Kings XI which ended their six game losing run was short lived as the Royal Challengers lost to the Mumbai Indians in the last game. With this loss Virat Kohli’s men are in all likelihood out of the playoff contention. What would have hurt the skipper most was their inability to defend a large score. This has been the problem for the side in this season as their bowlers don’t seem to have much in the arsenal and have failed to apply pressure on their opponents. The side will now have to play for pride and Kohli would want his men to do well in the next game.

Parthiv Patel has done well as an opener while Virat Kohli has been average by his high standards. The good news for the side is the form of AB de Villiers who has been playing as good as only he can. Moeen Ali, Marcus Stoinis and Akshdeep Nath make a good lower order with the former too having done well but the rest of the batting hasn’t been able to do the magic with lack of a finisher hurting the side. Yuzvendra Chahal and Moeen Ali have done well throughout the season with the ball but the side has failed to find a good third bowler. Umesh Yadav, Navdeep Saini and Pawan Negi are giving away too many runs and will need to play out of their skins to win the next game.

Our Prediction For KKR vs RCB

Kolkata Knight Riders shall win this game.

After having suffered three back to back defeats following the initial string of wins in the Indian Premier League, the Kolkata Knight Riders would next take on Royal Challengers Bangalore at their home ground Eden Gardens. While the home side has seen dip in form in the last few games it has so far been a disastrous season for the RCB as they have managed to win only one game out of their eight so far. RCB batted well in the last game and KKR too are doing well with the bat at the moment which should make it a high scoring encounter at the iconic Eden Gardens.

Kolkata Knight Riders play at home and have done well in the season while RCB have looked completely at sea. KKR without doubt would start as favorites for the next game
