Jamaica Tallawahs

Jamaica Tallawahs vs Guyana Amazon Warriors PredictionAndre Russell the Tallawahs skipper is a T20 superstar and he has just proved it this season. His knock of 121 in 49 balls after coming in at 41 for 5 against TKR was quite a sight to watch. But along with the skipper his whole team has played their part to be at the top of the table. In the second game against St. Lucia Ross Taylor held his nerves at the very end to ensure a win for the side. The last match was almost a cakewalk for the side as they defeated St Kitts and Nevis Patriots by 47 runs. If bowling was showing some signs of worry in the first two encounters it was all sorted out in the last game. While they may not enjoy the better of Warriors with 6-8 win-loss record going with the form they are in Russell would be confident about his team’s chances.

Tallawahs’ batting looks incredibly strong and the best so far we have seen in the league. Glenn Phillips, Johnson Charles, Rovman Powell, Ross Taylor, Kennar Lewis and the captain himself have looked in good touch so far. What separates the side from other teams is their finishing ability with Taylor and Russell batting in the last few overs. Bowling did give them some worries in the first game but they have come back strongly since with Imad Wasim being the best so far. Adam Zampna also seems to be settling into a rhythm. But for Tallawahs batting remains their strong point and they would look to exploit the small ground at Florida.

Guyana Amazon Warriors

Led by Pakistani all-rounder Shoaib Malik, Guyana Amazon Warriors have been one of the most consistent sides in the previous five seasons of the league. And in the first few games they have given the perfect glimpse of a determined unit which looks to win games by sticking to the basics. They started off well defeating St Kitts and Nevis Patriots comprehensively by 6 wickets and didn’t disappoint their fans in the next game versus St. Lucia Stars where they defended 141 runs. However some poor bowling in the 3rd game against Barbados Tridents saw them on the losing side. Overall the team is doing well and would look for their third win in the next game.

In the batting departments all the top six have had decent knocks so far. Shimron Hetmyer has been in good form and so is wicketkeeper Luke Ronchi, Malik and Sherfane Rutherford. But it is the form of the lower middle order that would be playing in the minds of the captain as they are yet to come good in all the games so far. As far as their bowling goes Sohail Tanvir and Imran Tahir have been bowling well but it is the form of the other bowlers that would worry Shoaib Malik the most having gone for runs and failed to pick up wickets.

The two teams match each other well in terms of their strengths but going with the form Jamaica Tallawahs start as favourites to win this encounter.
