CPL Match 29 Squad Comparison

Guyana Amazon Warriors

It has been an excellent season so far for Sohaib Malik’s side. With eight straight wins, the side has earned its place in the playoffs for the season and would be looking to treat the next two games to experiment with all its ideas. In the last game against the Trinbago Knight Riders, the side registered a convincing win. Their batsmen put up a good score on the board and the bowlers defended it successfully on a flat wicket. Having defeated the Jamaica Tallawahs earlier in the season the side would be going into this one full of confidence.

The opening pair of Brandon King and Chandrapaul Hemraj has done well in this season and would be looking to provide the team with a good start. In the middle order, Shimron Hetmyer and Sohaib Malik are looking in excellent form at the moment which is a big plus for the side. Nicholas Pooran, Sherfane Rutherford and Romario Shephard make the batting line-up very strong as they have the range of shots to trouble the opposition. In the bowling department Chris Green is doing well and so is Imran Tahir. Shephard, Keemo Paul and Ben Laughlin add strength to the bowling department and would be looking to do well in the next game.

Jamaica Tallawahs

It has been a season that Chadwick Walton and his side would want to end fast. They have been in poor form all through the season and currently sit in the bottom of the table. All their plans failed this season and last game’s loss against St Lucia Zouks is just a summary of the kind of struggle the side has been through. They had one of the best teams of the season and yet have failed. As the side plays its last game the skipper would want his team to fight it hard and end the sorry tale of affairs on a high note.

Glenn Phillips and Chris Gayle started the last game well but failed to convert their starts into big scores. They would look to play long innings in the next game. Liton Das and Dwayne Smith are looking in good form with the bat. The side would need its lower middle order to deliver as Walton, Andre Russell, Trevon Griffith and Ramaal Lewis have been through poor form this season. On the bowling front, Dwayne Smith looks in good form and so is Zahir Khan but the rest of the attack seems to be struggling for the moment. The likes of Jerome Taylor, Shamar Springer and Imran Khan would need to bowl well against the strong batting line-up that the Warriors have.

Our Prediction for GAW vs JT

Guyana Amazon Warriors would win this game

Guyana Amazon Warriors look in incredible form as they go into their 9th game of the Caribbean Premier League 2019. They have won all their games so far and sit on the top of the points table. The side would play against Jamaica Tallawahs who have had a bad season and won only two of their games. The Jamaica boys have great hitters on their side and playing their last game of the season would want to end it with a win. Warriors who are playing at their home ground Providence Stadium, Guyana wouldn’t surely want to make it easy for the visitors.

Looking at the form the two sides are in at the moment the Guyana Amazon Warriors would definitely start as favourites to win this one.
