England vs Pakistan Match Odds by BetRally & Betway

England are on a roll winning 3 consecutive matches and have sealed the series with their recent win at Trent Bridge in the 4th ODI. After successfully defending 373 runs in the 2nd ODI, England chased down 359 and 341 runs in the next two matches, winning by 6 and 3 wickets respectively.

Ben Stokes has finally found form, scoring 71 crucial runs chasing 341 in the last match. While Jason Roy continues his form at the top , Eoin Morgan didn’t feature in the playing XI, and Jos Buttler was the captain. Now that England has won the series, they may look to rest more players for the final ODI and try out other combinations.

Chris Jordan, Jonny Bairstow or Chris Woakes may get a chance in the playing XI. Adil Rashid hasn’t impressed much lately and in the last match was taken for runs. Liam Plunkett could be a good replacement for Rashid, given his wicket-taking abilities that England would need in the middle overs.

Pakistan’s quest for a win is still incomplete as they have now lost 8 consecutive ODI matches. Following a complete whitewash in UAE against Australia, Pakistan have lost a T20I, and 3 ODIs against England. It has been a rough patch for Pakistan going into the World Cup 2019.

On the brighter side, Pakistan have scored over 300 runs in their losses to England. In the 2nd ODI, they were 12 runs short of 374 runs target, while in the next two matches, Pakistan put 358 and 340 runs on the board batting first. They could have gone past these scores had more of their batsmen delivered. In the 2nd ODI, Imam-ul-Haq scored 151 and was top team batsman for Pakistan. While Haris Sohail and Asif Ali scored 41 and 52 respectively.

Only these 3 batsmen had scored above 30 runs and Pakistan had lost 9 wickets to reach 358. In the 4th match, Babar Azam scored a hundred, while Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Hafeez were out scoring fifties. Asif Ali, and Imad Wasim couldn’t cross 20 runs, while skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed was unbeaten on 21 off 14 balls. It seems Pakistan batting struggles to finish the innings on a high note, despite getting great starts from their star performers, Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam.

Our Prediction for England vs Pakistan

England are favourites to win this match

Pakistan has struggled not only with the bat, but also with the ball, and only in the 4th ODI, they managed to pick more than 5 wickets. Given the current form of English batsmen and their all-rounders, they are favourites to win this match.
