No Spanish side has never lost to a team from Luxembourg and victory will see Julen Lopetegui’s side progress to the latter stages with anything other than an away win an unlikely scenario.
When it come to the match result, there is little to no value to be had from just backing Sevilla (unless it is in an almighty acca). However, adding Sevilla to win and a clean sheet adds a little more value with online betting sites and is the most likely outcome. Sevilla are yet to concede in their three straight wins in the competition whilst Dudelange shipped three against Sevilla last time out and have conceded a total of ten in the competition so far – more than anyone else.
SEVILLA TO WIN TO NIL
Julen Lopetegui’s men have been in fine form of late and prior to their La Liga clash with Atletico Madrid, are unbeaten in their last four games in all competition. In the Europa League they have been slightly late to the party at least when it comes to scoring goals. In fact, of the seven goals they have scored in the competition so far, only one has come in the first half making a draw at half time with Sevilla going on to dominate the second half quite a valuable proposition.
HALF TIME/FULL TIME – DRAW/SEVILLA
This is for much the same reasons as above only without the risk of requiring the draw at the break. Dudelange have not been shy in front of goal themselves in the competition with five of their own, and much like Sevilla, only one of theirs has come in the first half. That should make for an action packed second 45 minutes so don’t worry too much if you miss kick off.
HIGHEST SCORING HALF – SECOND HALF
Head to Head
Sevilla swept past Dudelange 3-0 when the pair met in Spain in game week three. A Franco Vazquez brace set Los Palanganas well on their way to victory with Munir completing the victory. That marked the 12th time a side from Spain has gone on to beat a team from Luxembourg.
Sevilla to win by three or more goals
There is a clear gulf between Dudelange and Sevilla and any other result than the away win will raise a few eye brows. That’s because when it comes to the Europa League, Sevilla just seem to turn up in style which is why they are one of the favourites with popular sportsbooks to lift the trophy for a sixth time. Unbeaten in this campaign and having won two of their three games by three goals, surely a third in four by that margin is on the cards. The only question mark is how Sevilla will cope at Dudelange’s tiny ground.
