West Indies

Mashrafe Mortaza’s side has done extremely well in the league stage of the series to reach the finals undefeated. In both their previous games they defeated the West Indian team comfortably without having to drop much of sweat. If their performance in the series is anything to go by the team looks all set for a good show in the ICC Cricket World Cup. But Mortaza would be aware of the strength the West Indies side has and would want his boys to play their natural game and bag the trophy. It would serve as a huge confidence booster ahead of the mega tournament in England.

The opening pair of Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das did well in the last game. Das who came in the side in place of Soumya Sarkar justified his selection with a good innings and look to play the same in the next game. Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah and Mosaddek Hossain are also in good form and together they form a strong middle-order line-up for the team. It is their bowling that has impressed the most in this tri-series. Abu Jayed looks in good form and so is skipper Mashrafe Mortaza. With Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan having bowled brilliantly in the earlier games the side would definitely go into the game with great amount of confidence.

West Indies

Jason Holder’s team had come to Ireland with the hope of bagging a series easily but things haven’t gone their way. They have had only two wins against a weak Irish side to boast about. In both their games against Bangladesh they never really looked like a team that could win. Having got hang of the conditions and possessing a good batting line-up Holder would want his boys to rise up to the challenge and win the game that matters the most. A win will go world of good to their confidence which has taken a beating in the last few days.

Shai Hope is in good form and has already smashed two hundreds in the series. Sunil Ambris has also done well and they make a good opening pair. Darren Bravo would want to make most of the opportunity as he has had a muted series so far. The middle order has some quality players in Roston Chase, Jonathan Carter, Jason Holder and Fabian Allen and they would be looking for good performances in the next game. Their bowlers haven’t had the best tournament so far Kemar Roach along with Shannon Gabriel, Sheldon Cottrell and Holder will have to do well with the new ball and expect Fabian Allen to do well in the middle overs.

Our Prediction for Bangladesh vs West Indies

Bangladesh shall win the final

After the six league games the two expected teams Bangladesh and West Indies have made it to the finals of the tri-series. What wasn’t expected though was Bangladesh winning all their matches and the strong West Indian side losing both their games against Bangladesh. As the sides play the final at The Village, Dublin past performance in the series isn’t likely to count much as both the sides would be under pressure to perform. While West Indies are a stronger batting unit the Bangladesh have their strength in their bowling. This creates the perfect recipe for a competitive game the last for both the sides before the World Cup.

It will be a close game between the two sides with little to choose between them but Bangladesh having defeated the West Indies twice in this series will start as favorites to win this game and lift the trophy
