West Indies

Shakib Al Hasan led from the front both with the bat and the ball in the previous win to grab the Man of the Match award. It would have surely been one of those satisfying wins for him as a captain especially after the side was humiliated in the first game. The batsmen answered the call and set up a score beyond the reach of the visitors. While the bowlers didn’t quite live up to the expectations nonetheless they won the game in the end. With the series alive and momentum on his side Shakib would like to go for the kill in the final game of the series.

The Top 3 fired for the side after their failure in the 1st game. Liton Das and Soumya Sarkar in particular tore the West Indian attack apart and with Tamin Iqbal in good form they have a good top order. In the middle Shakib Al Hasan was at his best and with Mushfiqur Rahim makes a strong middle order. Mahmudullah who played a breath-taking innings in the end in the last game completes a strong batting order. The bowlers were found wanting in the last game with Mustafizur Rahman and Mohammad Saifuddin going for runs. A brilliant 5 wicket haul from skipper Shakib and a tight spell from Mehidy Hasan restricted the West Indians from chasing the total. They bowlers would need to perform better in the next game.

West Indies

Carlos Brathwaite would surely have seen many positives in the previous loss and for one his batting unit played well to accept the Bangladeshi challenge. It is the batting that has let the side down on most occasions during their long tour of the sub-continent but in the last two games they have come good. Brathwaite whose team hasn’t won any trophies in this long tour would like to head home with a series victory in the T20 contest. He has the firepower to challenge the home side and would definitely inspire his men ahead of the next game.

Evin Lewis hasn’t fired yet in the series but his opening partner Shai Hope keeps growing as a batsman in every match and played a great cameo in the last game. The middle order has good strikers of the ball in Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer and Rovman Powell. If one of them goes on to play a good knock the side would definitely win the upcoming game. The lower order is good too with skipper Carlos Brathwaite and Darren Bravo in the mix. The bowlers have to pull their socks up for the next game. Oshane Thomas, Sheldon Cottrell and Brathwaite himself leaked runs in the last game with only Fabian Allen bowling well. They would have to keep it tight for the side to win the series decider.

Our Prediction for Bangladesh vs West Indies

West Indies would win the 3rd T20 game

It was a spirited comeback from the Bangladeshis in the 2nd game of the 3-Match T20 series. After being hammered in the first game by West Indian batsmen the hosts replied in the same coin to register a comprehensive win and level the series 1-1. West Indians who displayed their flamboyancy in the 1st game would push for a win in the last and final game of their tour and the home side with their spirits high won’t like to lose it with momentum on their side. It promises to be a cracker of a contest at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka in the final game of the series.

Even in the loss West Indies had some positives and with their batting holding well they would find themselves slightly ahead in the upcoming game to win it and the series along with it.
