National T20 Cup Match 9 Squad Comparison

Balochistan has won 2 in 2 matches so far in the National T20 Cup. Awais Zia and Bismillah Khan both scored the fifties in both the matches for Baloch. In their opening game of the National T20 Cup, Awais Zia (77) and Bismillah Khan (54) set the platform for a big total (233-6). Defending 233 runs against Sindh, Amad Butt picked 3 for 32 and was the top bowler for Balochistan. Earlier he scored 31 off 10 balls batting at number 6 for his side and won the man of the match award.

In their last match against Central Punjab, Awais Zia and Bismillah Khan were the only batsmen in the Baloch batting line-up to score over 20-runs. Bismillah scored quick 51 off 23 balls while Awais was out for 56 off 43 balls helping the side reach 164 runs batting first. Skipper Haris Sohail, Imran Farhat, Hussain Talat, and Amad Butt all failed to fire down the order. However, Amad Butt continued his bowling form and picked 3 for 23 in 4 overs becoming the top bowler for Balochistan for the second time in a row. Yasir Shah picked 2 for 19 and had the lowest economy rate of all the bowlers. While the batting seems to revolve around Zia and Bismillah Khan for the moment, the Baloch bowling attack has quite a few bowlers in form and consistent with wickets.

Southern Punjab

Southern Punjab turned things around for themselves bouncing back after the loss in their first match against Northern Punjab. Southern PNJ scored 135-9 batting first as Aamer Yamin became top batsman for the side scoring 33 off 20 balls at number 7. Top 3 batsmen were out cheaply while Shoaib Maqsood at number 4 was the only other batsman to score more than 20 runs in the Souther Punjab innings. Defending a low total, Zahid Mahmood and Mohammad Irfan delivered great spells finishing with figures of 2 for 14 and 2 for 19 respectively.

However, the bowling effort wasn’t enough to help Souther Punjab seal a victory in their opening match and they lost by 5 wickets. In the next match, Souther PNJ restricted Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to 154-5 bowling first. Wahab Riaz was the top bowler with 3 for 28 while Mohammad Irfan finished with 1 for 19 in 4 overs. While the top 4 batsmen in the Southern PNJ batting line-up failed to make any significant contributions once again, it was Wahab Riaz with his unbeaten 42 off 17 balls that helped his side clinch a win over Khyber. Saif Badar also remained unbeaten scoring 49 off 35 balls as Souther PNJ reached the target in the 19th overs with 4 wickets in hand.

Our Prediction for Balochistan vs Southern Punjab

Balochistan is likely to win the match

Balochistan will start as favorites to win on top betting sites in India because they’ve got an edge over Southern Punjab in both departments. Bowling is where both teams have equal potential, though Balochistan has more consistent performances and in the batting department too, Southern Punjab lacks team effort.
