Australia vs India Match Odds by BetRally & Betway

It was an end to a bad year for the Australian team in Melbourne. Skipper Tim Paine’s post match statement attributing the loss to the absence of Warner and Smith said a lot about the lack of self-belief for the side. The side didn’t just lose the game but also important sessions during the Test Match. They read the pitch and failed to apply pressure on the Indian batsmen. With a horrible year behind their backs the side would want to start the New Year with confidence and start with a win. A win in Sydney would definitely restore some pride apart from letting them draw the series.

Aaron Finch’s poor form with the bat at the opening slot has been hurting the side and it would be interesting to see if he is retained for the next game. Marcus Harris has failed to convert starts and same has been the case with their batting mainstay Usman Khawaja. Shaun Marsh and Travis Head have done well so far in the series but the team would expect big scores from them. Tim Paine hasn’t set the scoreboard on fire either while Cummins has played good innings down the order. The bowlers have failed to put pressure on the Indians in this series barring Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon. Mitchell Starc has been in poor form this season and same has been the case with Josh Hazlewood. It would be interesting to see how the bowlers shape up for the next game.

Virat Kohli’s team has been played well in 2018 outside the sub-continent but results weren’t always in their favour. After suffering the defeat at Perth where India’s weakness against fast bowling was exposed the side turned it around in Melbourne with a memorable win going 2-1 up in the series a rare achievement for the side outside home. What would have impressed the Indian skipper most is how his batsmen put up a huge score in difficult batting conditions. Indian bowlers have looked threatening in all the three games and the skipper would like to go for the kill in Sydney where Indians would fancy the good batting conditions.

Mayank Agarwal made an impressive debut in the last game and Hanuma Vihari’s contribution was much beyond what the scorecard would read. Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli have been in phenomenal form this series and would like to continue the same way. Ajinkya Rahane has done brilliantly so far and with Rohit Sharma, Rishab Pant and Ravindra Jadeja the Indian side bats deep. The bowlers have impressed all through the series with Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami in particular troubling the opposition. Ishant Sharma has supported the due well and with Jadeja in the mix Indians have the attack to trouble the Australians.

Our Prediction for Australia vs India, 4th Test Match

India would win the 4th Test Match

It was a great win for the Indian team on a difficult Melbourne wicket, their first in 37 years at the MCG. With 2-1 up in the series the Indian team would like to win the upcoming game at the Sydney Cricket Ground and along with it the series which would be their first in Australia. The team has looked more dominating throughout the series and will go into it with much confidence. For the Australian team 2018 has been a dark year and they would like to keep it behind and make a fresh start in the New Year. A win in Sydney would help them level the series and win back some of their lost pride. With Sydney having one of the best batting tracks in the country it should be a good contest between the two sides.
It has been a thrilling contest between the two sides so far in the series and Indians have looked a better side than the Australians. From a cricket betting point of view, in the last game India would start as favourites to win the Test match and the series 3-1
