The smile on the face of skipper Aaron Finch showed the relief he experienced at the end of the last game where they escaped a loss thanks to the weather. The side is experiencing too many problems with its batting and it seems to have come chronic. The script has almost been the same throughout the last six months where the top order has failed to put runs on the board. While the bowlers have done well they haven’t had the kind of support from the batsmen as they would like. With one game to go Finch would like to seal the series 2-0 and deny Indians the chance to gain some momentum ahead of the Test series.

Openers D Arcy Short and Aaron Finch have hit a terrible run of form and they have consistently being getting out to poor shots. While Chris Lynn looked good at No. 3 and so has Marcus Stoinis in the middle order it has often been the heroics of Glenn Maxwell that has rescued the side’s batting. The lower middle order has also failed to capitalize and going into the last game the skipper would hope to see a good start at the top and contributions from Ben McDermott and Alex Carey in the end. The bowlers have also had their bad days with the performance of Andrew Tye and Jason Behrendorff in the first game being a case in point. Lot would depend on how Adam Zampa bowls in the middle overs in company of Nathan Coulter-Nile and Stoinis in the upcoming game.

For Indian skipper Virat Kohli it was another day of disappointment thanks to the weather again. They had choked the Australian batsmen and could have easily won the game and levelled the series if not for rains. Even in a rain curtailed chase the Indians would have had the upper hand. However he would be very impressed in the manner in which his side bowled in the last game. They never allowed the Australian batsmen to score freely and given the way the batsmen performed in the opening game of the series he would be confident about his prospects in the next game at SGC where the team would like to level the series.

At the top of the order Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma are in great form and they would be looking to give a good start to the side.  KL Rahul who has struggled to make big scores will have to make amends. Kohli adds strength to the side in the middle order and with Dinesh Karthik and Rishab Pant in the finishers’ role the batting looks settled for the side. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah were at the top of the mark in the last game but Khaleel Ahmed is struggling in the second spell. Kuldeep Yadav’s bowling would have terrorised the Aussies as they can’t find answers to his variety and if he finds good support from Krunal Pandya they should be able to check Australia’s scoring rate once again.

Our Prediction for Australia vs India

India will win the 3rd T20 game

Indian team would have been terribly upset with the washout of the 2nd game at Melbourne after they had pushed the Australian team to the walls and almost set up an easy win for them chasing a small total. But the weather gods came to the rescue of the home side and after two hours of hide and seek forced the officials to call of the match. With one game to go in the series at Sydney Cricket Ground the Indian team would like to play the same brand of aggressive cricket and level the series. Australians who have had their issues with the bat in both the games would like to win it 2-0. This sets up a perfect contest at the SCG.

Going by their performance in the last game the Indian team would definitely finds themselves ahead of the Australians in the final game of the series. They’d like to win this encounter and level the T20 series 1-1.
