ICC World Cup Match 26 Squad Comparison

Australia

Australian skipper Aaron Finch would be fairly happy with the proceedings of the tournament so far. They won the last game against Sri Lankans convincingly in the end though there were some hiccups in the middle. The side hasn’t been able to come up with those dominating performances in the tournament as they fans are used to seeing from them. The key players have done well for the side which is welcome news as we enter the most important stage of the tournament. Finch would know that the Bangladeshis are a strong side and he wouldn’t like to take them lightly in the upcoming game.

Australian openers Aaron Finch and David Warner are in great form and they would look to carry on the same in the next game. Steven Smith looks good in the middle even though Usman Khawaja isn’t being able to convert his starts. Glenn Maxwell, Shaun Marsh and Alex Carey are the perfect finishers any side could have and they have done well so far in the tournament especially Maxwell as he has been hitting boundaries at will. Mitchell Starc is in great form with the ball and Pat Cummins has been supporting him well. Kane Richardson has impressed in the games he has played in the tournament. Jason Behrendorff and Maxwell will need to support them for the side to do well in the next game.

Bangladesh

Mashrafe Mortaza’s side came up with the best performance while chasing in this tournament in their last game against West Indies. The team turned the huge chase of 322 to a walk in the park winning with more than 8 overs remaining. The side has been playing exceptionally good cricket in the last few months and last game’s performance would have lifted the spirits of the side. Mortaza would know that his side has a big challenge on hand as they take on Australia in the next game. The Aussies have played good cricket so far and Mortaza’s men would have to play out of their skins to win this one.

Soumya Sarkar and Tamim Iqbal have been offering decent starts to the side in all games and one of them would be looking to convert it into a big score. Shakib Al Hasan looks rock solid at No. 3 and is already the highest run getter in the tournament. Liton Das played well in the last game and with Mushfiqur Rahim in the middle order strengthens the batting. In Mohammad Mithun, Mahmudullah and Mosaddek Hossain the side has great finishers. Mashrafe Mortaza returned to form with the ball in the last game to the relief of his side. Mustafizur Rahman and Mohammad Saifuddin have done well so far. It is however Mehidy Hasan and Shakib Al Hasan that the team would rely on the most with the ball against Australia

Our Prediction for West Indies vs Bangladesh

Australia will win the game

Bangladesh after their spirited performance in the last game against West Indies would take on Australia in the next game of the World Cup. This game at Trent Bridge, Nottingham would be very important from the perspective of Bangladesh as they need to win this one to stay alive in the hunt for a semi-final berth in the tournament. Their performance in the tournament does inspire confidence. Australians on the other hand would look to win this one and seal their spot for the semi-finals. The side has been jittery in this tournament so far and this would make the upcoming game very interesting.

Australia has played professionally this tournament though there have been some hiccups. They would definitely start ahead of the Bangladeshis in the next game owning to their betting bowling attack.
