Big Bash 54th Match Squad Comparison

Adelaide Strikers

With the last loss against Brisbane Heat Travis Head’s side nearly killed its chances to go into the playoffs. While there is a slight ray of hope for the side left they will have to win the upcoming game convincingly to earn a place in the next stage. The side has started the season looking one of the best teams and had four wins after five games. But they lost out in the middle stages. Head who returns as captain in the game will want to win this game and ignite that slight ray of hope to go further in the tournament.
The opening pair of Alex Carey and Jake Weatherald has had a mixed bag of season and this has been a problem for the side and they would look to improve upon it for the next game. Jake Lehmann, Colin Ingram and Jonathan Wells have the talent to hit the ball and with Head making a comeback the batting looks strong for the side. On the bowling front they have a good attack in Peter Siddle, Cameron Valente and Michael Neser. But it is Rashid Khan’s bowling that holds key for the side. Khan hasn’t delivered on the high expectations that the side had from him this season.

Perth Scorchers

Their last win against Melbourne Stars just showed the potential of the side which has been through its worst BBL season. Things just didn’t work out for Mitchell Marsh’s side throughout the season. Missing key players who were representing the national side didn’t help the cause while those playing in the team didn’t live up to the expectations. With one game to go for the side to officially bring an end to its campaign the skipper would hope to put up the best performance and end things on a winning note to offer something to the fans to cheer about.
Josh Inglis and Michael Klinger batted well in the last game. But it is too little too late as the side has struggled with the opening slot for most parts of the season. Shaun Marsh in all likelihood will play the next game for the side. Ashton Turner and Cameron Bancroft also did well with Mitchell Marsh, Nick Hobson and Clint Hinchliffe in the line-up the side has good prospects in the batting department. The bowlers impressed in the last game especially Jason Behrendorff and Nathan Coulter-Nile. With Mathew Kely and Andrew Tye in the side they would count their chances. They need to bowl well in the next game as their bowlers have struggled all season.

Our Prediction for Adelaide Strikers vs Perth Scorchers

Adelaide Strikers shall win this game
In the final game of the Big Bash League season for both the sides Adelaide Strikers would play Perth Scorchers. While Strikers can still make it to the playoffs technically if other results work to their favor it is the end of the road for Scorchers. The team that has been the most successful one in league’s history with three titles is finishing this season at the bottom of the table. While the result of this game not affect much of the points table
standing none of the side would like to end their season with a loss.
Adelaide Strikers look a slightly better team at the moment and shall start as favorites to win the upcoming game.
