Manchester United vs Liverpool: Betting Tips, Odds & Predictions

Manchester United vs Liverpool
Manchester United vs Liverpool, Premier League, Old Trafford

The match is over.
Score: 1-1.

This is one of the biggest games in the English calendar – even with Manchester United’s drop of form over the last few years. It should be a cracking game.

Our Betting Tips

There is nothing Manchester United fans would want more than bringing Liverpool’s 100% record to an end – and that may well happen in what will be a passionate affair.

Many punters will expect Liverpool to run riot in this one – but this fixture pays no attention to the formbook and is not always filled with goals either.

There may not be many goals in this game but they should be spread evenly between the two sides. Both sides would probably welcome a draw.

Head to Head

This is usually a fairly even match no matter where either of the clubs are in the Premier League. The last time Liverpool were able to come away from Old Trafford with a victory was in 2014.

  • Manchester United have not enjoyed the best of starts to the season and have now failed to score in two of their last three Premier League games.
  • Liverpool may top the league by quite a margin but they are still not scoring the most goals. Manchester City have 27 to the Anfield club’s 20.
  • Manchester United scored four goals without reply in their opening day fixture – but have not been able to manage more than one in a match since then.
  • Liverpool have only conceded six goals in the league so far this season – and they are better away from home. In four games away from Anfield, Jurgen Klopp’s side have allowed just two goals.

Our Prediction for Manchester United vs Liverpool

The Draw

Although the players and management team will not be getting carried away, Liverpool are heavily favoured to win this game. But, even with the current form of the Old Trafford club, this is the game that the Red Devils will not want to lose.
