Liverpool vs Watford: Premier League Preview
Liverpool are looking to make it 18 home matches unbeaten when they take on Watford in the 5:30pm kick off on March 17th. The Reds were defeated 2-1 by Manchester United at Old Trafford seven days ago but will be expected to bounce back from that lifeless display here.
Mo Salah played a peripheral role and wasn’t able to have an impact on the game, with the Egyptian having a rare off-day. Boylesports make him the 5/2 favourite to open the scoring against the Hornets. Nathaniel Clyne is likely to miss this one through injury, whilst Adam Lallana hasn’t trained this week and has potentially suffered another injury setback.
Manchester United and Spurs are in FA Cup action this weekend and this will provide Jurgen Klopp’s side a chance to close the gap. They are the 2/11 favourites for this clash and are 20/21 to win to nil.
Watford’s Poor Away Form Looks Set to Continue
Watford have failed to find the net in 457 minutes of football on the road and Javi Gracia’s side were poor at the Emirates on March 11th. They were defeated 3-0 by Arsenal and rarely threatened the Gunners throughout the 90 minutes. They are clear of relegation trouble but it’s been a season of inconsistencies for the Hertfordshire club. They have largely relied on their form at Vicarage Road this campaign, picking up 22 of their 36 points in front of their own fans, and look set to fall short here. Liverpool -2 on the handicap market can be backed at 5/4 with Boylesports.
This match finished 3-3 when the two sides met back in August but it’s likely to be far more one-sided this time around
